She wasn’t but it isn’t all that surprising to see a groomed child who is entirely been made reliant on the husband for essentially everything while pregnant with his child to have fallen in line with what he wants to be done. That’s why dudes like him make them so dependent on them because then they don’t have much choice other than doing whatever they’re told. Look at how many times she wanted to leave but didn’t because he was the bread winner. And she was the one in the weakest position of life to risk leaving him by comparison

Peterson was abused as a child, perhaps that's why he allegedly did the deed.
@Matt-cr4vv
@Matt-cr4vv 6 ай бұрын
If you’d like a piece of reality they were still laughing after the trial was done because let’s see the world as it actually exists- those guys got paid a gigantic fee for taking this case and that wasn’t changing based on the result of the case. Put in perspective in one of the later cases where the taxpayers had to pay for his attorney, which is generally going to have the rate the attorney is billing be noticeably lower than what they would normally charge even for a traditionally expensive attorney because some authority in place has to approve you being paid the amount you billed, and that individual attorney billed $75K +/- for his work and the judge signed off on it. So let’s think about this in a practical sense if the appointed attorney that has to bill their time at a level that the judge will sign off for being paid with taxpayer dollars is that much how much do you think Peterson had to pay to keep a team of six attorneys on board to commit roughly two years to your case without any constraints on the amount they decide to charge? Let’s also learn that depression for losing a case applies to prosecutors who basically see their entire evaluation of their talent as their win-loss record, which is a joke because the vast majority of cases that hit their desk just result in a plea deal which go down as wins, because generally they don’t go to a trial unless they have a defendant who is adamant about going to a trial, the public as a whole demands the case goes to a trial like this one, or the evidence is so stacked in their favor they are almost guaranteed to win. They don’t take risks and bring tough cases for them unless the public demand forces it otherwise they will see if they can get some kind of plea otherwise if they don’t feel super good to win they’ll dismiss before they take talent contingent gamble on one. Personal injury guys are the other ones who have to win everything because a lot of their cases require them to win to get paid and in the same way they’ll strong arm a settlement over a gamble if they can. That isn’t the way defense works because defense work is generally lower chance cases to begin with and the true success isn’t as simple as winning but rather getting a client the most favorable outcome in context of what results are truly possible under the facts you have to work with which isn’t something most outside of the working in the profession don’t adequately appreciate.
@Matt-cr4vv
@Matt-cr4vv 6 ай бұрын
And they had valid reason to feel confident about their chances because the state of Illinois had to write a new law that allowed the use of evidence that wouldn’t be allowed anywhere else and specifically benefited one side because if they hadn’t there was basically no direct evidence that existed for them to have a chance. And there was endless arguments that were made in the media that this law was overblown and didn’t flip the outcome. Yet that wasn’t true because the jury admitted that the most compelling evidence that led to their verdict was the hearsay that their special law allowed to be used as evidence which wouldn’t have been let in had it been contested in any of the other states. The system intentionally rigged the rules against your case so pretty hard to feel there was anything to be ashamed about

God forbid the only one making a public statement point out the burden the State has to meet as he speaks about why he believes they still have the strongest case. I feel like you’re also going to point out that these deviants advocated for the person who paid them for their representation which they should also be disbarred for doing. I’m also extremely confident you’d have this same energy if it applied to you. You probably wouldn’t even try to argue to keep your law license, even if you had to go to seven years of school with the three years of law school being extremely taxing in your workload, your relationships, your mental health and your emotional wellbeing at an often high expense before you can even sit for the bar exam because you chuckled at a comment your friend quietly made to you while someone else is handling the public comments. Or….. you’d get a clue at how silly you are if you actually believed this when realistically you’re just posturing in a comment section

I was a sophomore in college watching this unfold and him eating up the press was disgusting. he thought he was a celebrity, and this was his 15mins. i actually thought it was going to open another can of worms about his conduct on the job as a cop, in addition to these murders but the police backed off him so fast when it came to his performance as a cop, he def has dirt on other cops. this is probably why he felt untouchable even in the midst of a media storm. he didn’t even pretend to be distraught. the fact that he was able to cash in on his pension after this is shocking. “she ran off and took all the bikinis” he really thought we were buying that. no woman is going to take off and leave her kids behind if she was that type of mother of would’ve showed. i believe he found out she was planning to leave, and she knew about Kathy so he removed her as well

Maybe I am missing something here - Stacey knew Drew was married, went ahead with him anyway and taunted Kathleen repeatedly, and to top it off knew Drew killed Kathleen but never came forward and still stayed with him, even providing an alibi. Also, there are domestic violence cases more blatant than this and they get away with it because the courts don't allow hearsay. If you are going to permit it with one case it needs to be allowed in every case because it isn't fair to the victims.

Drew Peterson’s young wife was killed in 2001. Scott Peterson’s wife was found dead, washed ashore in April 2001, four months after she was murdered. Michael Peterson’s wife was found dead at the bottom of stairs, in 2007. Three Peterson men, guilty of killing their wives in a matter of seven years. All three, were cruel, and deceitful. They thought they’d get away w/it. Thankfully they didn’t. A man who kills his wife instead of divorcing her thinks w/out empathy- choosing to kill a woman who has every right to life as the cheating husband does. A man who can do that deserves to be in prison. To think of finances over the life of your wife. Wicked.

Well, whats the reason a real young woman, half as old as the cheating jerk she`s dealing with in the house of a married couple with children??`Why didn`t she call 911 or flee to a neighbour house. She had her aunt to help her get out of this life threatening sitiation..... Well some women do actually everything for a "good looking" fella, ain`t that right...Feel sorry for the 3rd wife and all the kids left behind. These criminal minded cockroaches (with or without a batch) will always find women, weak, not balanced and with no self esteem, so these cases will go on and on and on.

33:13 His lawyers especially greenberg smiling at inappropriate times are almost as slimy as him. Stacy looks exactly like a young Kathleen. Prosecutor looks genuinely like a warrior for justice. This aunt 35:20 seems off. She should have helped ger niece...still writing drew letters ...like she has a thing for him..weird. Taking a long time to answer if she wants justice for neice.
