As parents we/schools have spent so much time teaching our children about "stranger danger" without realizing it's not the big bad perverted stranger lurking around every corner they need to be afraid of.... I’m a recovering catholic, unfortunately there’s a lot of Catholic people who will never watch this video because they are in denial about any type of abuse in the catholic faith. My mother never believed me that a priest abused me. She took it to her grave. I wouldn’t ever go back to a catholic church for any reason. Nothing could get me to go back in. I was an altar boy and I was sexually abused, the priest had me move Wine from the Rectory to the Church because that’s where they stored it was in the basement of the rectory where the priest lived, he stopped me on my second trip into the rectory before I got back into the church. I was in the passage way that connected the church to the rectory where the priests lived.

I came across a certain man's testimony, his name is James Kawalya. He was taken to the Vatican to be trained to be one of the priests when he grows up at the age of 12. He said it's a church disgusing themselves as children of God, he said in reality it's a cult where you get to know, that indeed there's an entity called Satan. He said for 5 years the priests there continuously raped him that he lost his mind not to satisfy their urges but for some kinda of rituals. Then he was taken to a rehab where they started giving him hard drugs to lose his mind some more. There needs to be another reformation, starting with forbidding marriages in the priesthood. Biblically a man should not be without a wife and there is no scripture prohibiting priests from marrying. I am Catholic and this abuse happens in all religions. I’m a survivor of abuse, not by a priest but from a family member. We suffer for all our lives and it shapes us from the moment we are abused. I read about the abuse that happens in The Jehovah Witnesses, it was also appalling, the Amish, and so on and so on. As a parent, I would have moved heaven and earth to make someone pay if they abused my children or any child. I would have gone straight to the authorities and NOT the Churches.

Also, my cousin reacted much the same way when CBS News caught him working at the Shedd Aquarium (where he had access to kids). Like what you did in your reporting, they surprised him while he was at work. I remember the look in his eyes. You can tell he knew that he f---ed up. Also, like Fr. Delft, he doesn't have much to say for himself. He still continues to deny it and gaslight his victims. A family member asked him about the man who died by suicide because of him. He just brushed it off as, "yeah...well...the guy had problems." He took no responsibility for the role he played in it.
