The part of the person Blaque is referring to who looked and viewed black tax as a blessing... From my side it would be a blessing I can say. Because I long to be financially capable of providing for my mom and this desire just grew more and more after my dad's passing. To a point with the little I have I show up to my mom. On the other hand my mom inlaw used to be extra on our early years of marriage... Yhooo she would call my husband every pay day to ask for grocery money and throw comments like.. In hungry here and expected like a 10% of my husband's salary 😂. And at the time we were just starting off our lives but I thank Jesus because I prayed about it that may it be because she does not have any food NYANI and not because" it's my son so he must give me", though it felt like that. I prayed about it that may it not irritate me and may mom inlaw understand on other months that we don't have it due to our responsibilities and budget. 10 years later in our marriage, mama understand that we help her financially where and when we can and plan accordingly for such expenses. Still listening guys wanted to share my view and experience thus far. Love you guys🤗❤️❤️

Black tax has been a huge component of our marriage. Blessed to have found harmony (with a bit of turbulence) in how we support our families, though things may change if kids enter the picture. The biggest lesson is communication with eachother and unity and how we communicate to families. Thanks for the chat guys 🫶🏽

Definitely Xhosas do that in fact the communities used to do that a lot it's m the now generation that's moving away from that but just a bit drifting away from that culture. Overall we Xhosas have that community togetherness 😜
