I have said it before this are the best videos in the demolition category I have seen by any one on youtube. Thanks!! This one will be a long one based on the size of this building

Good one, John. It was fun to see at least the outside of the interior demo, which we've not seen before. It's interesting that they are separating the debris inside, unlike some other projects where the steel studs were neatly stacked inside only to have them dumped out with all the mixed debris during the demo of the structure. It's also good to see a good old structural steel demo again, this time with a shiny new high-reach demo machine.

In buildings where they are dumping rubble from the interior down the elevator shafts (rather than out the window), they have to leave the metal studs because they would immediately create a log jam in the shaft. I am surprised that they don't make an effort to keep the piles of studs separate when they get to them with the excavator, rather than mix them up with the concrete rubble and then have to separate them out again to recycle.

@@JohnZWetmore If I can afford a small remark I went to your KZbin page in the playlists and in my opinion it should be classified by project or in the descriptions of the videos there should be the link for the previous and next part

Only I. The DC area do they tear down a perfectly good office building.

Ha well no they do that elsewhere, but knowing people that worked there, the building was a bit of a mess apparently.

Why would you demolition marriott headquarters for
@TrainTruck Жыл бұрын
Probably moved it somewhere else and the property was up for sale or bought and only wanted the land but not the building.

Marriott moved to a new headquarters in downtown Bethesda, and the site is being redeveloped into seniors-oriented housing.

I didn't see them do it on this building, but here is how Berg did it at AOL HQ: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6bOpmxrba58a9k
