Ty for this video. I own this light and didn't really know it's true par out put. Just entered flower 2 weeks ago so I need to lower the light seeing I had it raised to the top of a 3*3 tent on 75 percent. Not enough par from that distance. You saved my grow.

If you put a bigger size FC lamp in this tent , wouldn't be better luminated at the edge ? Specialy with such a nice led layout it wouldn't change the center but it would bring more light to the edge. I don't know the sizes of the model and watts yet it's just a guess, they look good anyway. It looks like you can cover your bed completely or even go around the edge by bending the armature.

Because Mars Hydro inflates their numbers. Several companies inflate their numbers that's one reason why these PAR tests are so helpful; we can see which companies are lying to their customers and which ones are telling the truth.

@Donnie's Med Grow more diode’s does not matter In my opinion because it’s covering a small area being it’s coming from a single source. I guess it would ultimately have to do with what kind of coverage you would need and how big the area you’re growing in. I have an SP250 I’m not gonna go out and buy another SP 250 or an SP 3000. I’m just going to get the FC3000 or 4800 or maybe 2FC 4800s to fit a 4x8 tent. The 250/3000 is perfect for a 2x4 tent plain and simple

Hate to say anything negative about people's choices on lights, especially when they get them for free to plug the product. I have the mars hydro light you reviewed. Needless to say, it is sitting back in the box it came in. They are junk. I upgraded to Spider Farmer SF-4000's. My yields are at 4 to 5g's per watt. Better light penetration and a huge difference in par values even at the far edges. Commercial lights are worth the price difference between a cheap light manufacturer like Mars. Spider Farmer lighting systems are by far the best..
