Mars sniper coil on the X-terra 705

I have the minelab 11" 7.5kHz coil as well. It's better if you extend the shaft a bit and put the coil on backwards. I have found quite a few Indian heads in fields with it. I have the NEL 9x5" 7.5kHz and it is my favorite everyday coil. I also have the 6" and 15" 3kHz orange "Digger" coils.I just ordered the Mars Tiger12.5x9.5" in 3kHz and 18.75. I'm hoping it becomes my new favorite everyday coil.

Wicked cool hunt way to get the clad out.. a lot of tokens too.. Awesome coil ..this X-terra 705 seems to be a sweet detector with multi functions and cool coils to set it up with..

I love it man and I grab it and use it even more then my Nox.. because the Nox is just too noisy in multi frequency... The x-terra only talks on a solid hit.. gives my ears peace and relaxation.. not a bombardment of echos and blips over a bunch of nothing...

@@VegasDtech the nox is not bad at all to my ears over all it is stable and there has been spots that emi was a big problem. But I figured out 10khz is working well for me..

@@ohdannyboyjustadiggin Yeah the EMI in multi is terrible and running it in Single freq stabilizes it dramatically but then i feel cheated because , why did i pay all this money for a multi frequency machine but chose not to use it for what it was marketed for??? Lets buy a Corvette but only park it out front and stare at it...

This is a very good coil . great balance and build quality. I think the $160 was kinda high but.. to some its cheap Lol...

Crazy I just bought me a Mars Tiger coil today on Ebay for about $60. Had to snatch it up at that price! You know whats sad is this company is or was based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Just another example of what a small world we live in and how messed up this senseless conflict is. Just normal people like you and me and someone comes along wants to take everything.

There is the machine I mentioned that is so ass backwards that to change its frequency you have to change the coil because the coil has brains in it to tell the machine what to do. It was their way of locking you into their shit. I was not a fan of those machines for that reason alone.

yeah .. We didnt have a lot of choices before multi freq . at least the Mars gives me 2 decent frequencies.. i just need a 9v battery to switch them on the fly

Where did you get the graphite shaft for the X-terra?

Carl its a graphite wrap.. Im trying to convince Shimano corp to tool detector rods and shafts. Since they make fishing rods.. I wrap my rods and apply the shimano decals on them..

@@VegasDtech not sure if it's a defect or just a chip read error but I would at least try asking questions to the place you got it or the manufacturer. It does seem to work fine though just vacuuming up the coins like the x-terra is known for. I've had my 705 for almost ten years and love the coiltek 6 inch digger coil.

@@mikeshobbiesandrandomstuff I contacted Serious Detecting and i told them about the CL in Low khz and they said as far as they can tell it .. It should still work fine and not hamper performance?? No further communication from them.. you know minelab has some kind of proprietary chip in thier coils and aftermarket coils are not supposed to work.. Suprised that the Mars coil has found a way around that .. so ill just deal with the CL in 3khz i guess - Joey
