Quickmatch Analysis #6: -One of the more competent Arabian lords versus one of the least competent European lords. A master of harassment tactics versus a guy who really likes horses. -Both lords keep large portions of their economy buildings outside their walls. Despite this, neither seems to get harassed there. -Wazir uses the Fire Ballistae to control the midfield like we've seen with the other Arab lords, but Marshal seems to be the first who actually uses a surprisingly effective counter: Trebuchet. If only he did that intentionally. -2:20 & 3:10 Look at that gold difference so early into the match! This seems to come from stone and bread, both bolstered slightly by fear factor. -Marshal manages to get some pretty good harassment with his knights, taking out two of Wazir's quarries. But was it worth the cost of the knights he lost? -The Marshal's towers can be cleared with ballistae alone, not a great sign of their effectiveness. -The Wazir looks to be bugged, he's building up a large mass of horse archers but isn't using it during the assaults until there is a breach. That's probably useful info. -With the Marshal's only counter to the Arabian swordsmen being his knights, it's not long before the Wazir's army scales up in size to strike the killing breach. Gold doesn't say anything to be honest, as well as number of army. You can have more gold and more units, but you can have lower income and paper army, from the other side, you can be Emperor Frederic, have lots of income, 40k gold in bank, and yet 60 units, but xbows and knights.

Wazir imo, is one of the Strongest lords in SHC especially in a deathmatch scenario since his economy starts slow to get going. I ran a couple of ai battle putting Wazir against the other top tier lords and the only one that can beat him effectively is the Wolf. He cannot effectively counter Wolf unit since he didn't really use a siege enggine on his tower and he didn't use as many pitch as the other pitch user(other than Sheriff)

Wazir's economy is very risky. First, he fear people until -2 level. If u go with normal ratio, you still have -1 popularity. If you go with +4 ratio, you have +3 which mean waste your money. So, you have to go with normal ratio, then if popularity is going to decrease even further, switch it to +4 ratio, that is easy for AI but human ofc will suck. Second, i dont consider that wazir's economy is weak, i only think his economy is to risky. There is opportunity cost in AI building, cuz their building is isolated nearly from their castle. I see a lot of people commenting "let add ale & Inn to wazir castle", but if he do that, he decrease his space to place bakery. He just like never go with 10++ wheat farms & 25++ bakeries if there is hops farm, ale, & Inn. With his efficiency, I think he gain 9,10,9,10... from his bakery also not bad. Also another stuff like quary, pitch, & iron miles. Go with normal ratio, sometimes +4 ratio to stabilize his population.

I love how Vazir's castle design shows just how cruel he is, because he places civilian housing right in front of his walls, rather than behind them.

It's because of the moat, it really disturbs every single AI. warlord. I can literally just make only moat, no single buildings and AI will never attack me.

It's because Marshal it's enhanced by the Unofficial patch. Without it he's much weaker.

Good match, MiLord. What makes Marshal lost is mainly because Wazir keep destroying the farm and woodcutter's hut. So, Marshal spent lot of resourses to rebuild it. I usually do the same trick by using just 3 assasins, makes my opponents bankrupt. And of course, Marshal's defense is also weak.

Wazirs hard on any of the lords, that bread economy just trumps so many of the lord's economies. In the unnoffical patch alot of the Lords have better economies like Frederick having like 6 stone quarries and actually buying weapons he gets insanely powerful.

Ye frederico, my favourite guy. Destroys building when somebody come closer to his gate, to rebuild everything after 4 seconds xD He can have 50 000 gold, 10 swords, 10 plates, and still 60 soldiers and he still can refuse to make more. Like he always have to have this minimum X number of weapons in armory.
