While ‘Someday, Someway’ got some airplay on MTV, I never once saw ‘Whenever You’re on My Mind’ MTV. Without that exposure, he was at a huge disadvantage.

He is still the hardest working musician in the business. He spends more than 250 days a year on the road performing. And when Pat DiNizio of The Smithereens died, Crenshaw has filled in at their shows. The man deserves respect.

His first two albums are amongst the best to come out of the 80's. The words and music evoke imagery clear and precise. How Justin Bieber became a star and he didnt defies logic.

Marshall Crenshaw even his name says "Rock Star" to bad he didn't have the management to push for his name and music. He is great, guy's like Marshall Crenshaw belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

When I first heard this song in 1983, I was working in a college cafeteria between my Freshman and Sophomore years in college. It came over WSOU which is Seton Hall University’s college radio station. It took me 3 years and a transfer of schools for me to track down the album it was from, “Field Day.” That was a perfect album.
