My brother who passed away in 2005.Loved house / trance music. We played this track open your eyes at his funeral as was a favourite of his. Was very emotional

Still as spine tingling as when I danced to it in New York and London when it came out. All praise to Marshall Jefferson, a musical genius. This is real peace and love given to a troubled world. Amen.

We were smashing it in london at that time doing the same mate. Went every weekend to Black market records in London to buy imported records that would come in from NYC and Chicago that week. Went home to play them and then off to the warehouse raves to dance til dawn. I'm 53 this year. Peace!!!

A prayer, The sounds of house, The promotion of self awareness, and understanding. This track, Back then, Now... on my kitchen bass system, And in the future, Is as much of a revelation today, As it ever has been. Wether your swaying, full of your chosen vice, or even just full of genuine love, under the lights, on the floor, Or, on someones couch, smoking, eyes closed in contemplation, Or, In the woods, really tripping,.... All these things are relative to the understanding and inner peace this classic deep house groover brings. Man we're lucky to have had, and continue to own this, And all its comparative deep acid stablemates. This movement will never be repeated. 🕉💖🙏💖🕉

I grew up in the "Chi" during the glory years of deep soulful House and in my old "House music clique we all knew Marshall J. wasn't fuckn around when he dropped this tune! Cuz it was wayyy ahead of its time and Frankie played it one night and we knew that he possessed something supernatural on the "Technics1200's and we talking the 80's bro.

Everyone was inspired by everything back then, but yeah, hear the genesis of Pacific State, fer sure. Liked the 808 State cats. Nice guys; one of the first Brit acts to focus on floor v radio records, cueing off NYC... So let's have at it then kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJu0kJWFhZV7nLs First of, honestly, umpteen versions thru the years, updating floor beats and flogging that horse til it was foaming and collapsing. Surprised there's not an auto-tuned Nashville country rap version yet...

Top of the league ne stuff & what was changing electronic music scene back then when Dance Music was just getting going . Sounds very distinctive in this one 😊 I absolutely love this Choon 😊
