One of the greatest amps Marshall has ever made. And I own it along with the afd100 and the silver jubilee.

I just bought this amp. It was not cheap at $3,500 us. But it is the best sounding Marshall ive ever heard. I will never sell it. In fact i plan to buy a few more.

Yes. One of the best players ti demo. I’m surprised doesn’t have more views. Very clean polished player

I dig it. It reminds me of that lead sound Ty Tabor had in the 90s.

This version's circuits are supposed to be quite different to the stock JVM 410. The designer Santiago went on an amp tech's stream and explained it. I have not tried either amp, so can not say how different they sound. Joe Satriani's website says this about the amp: The JVM410HJS is tonally very different from the JVM4 series. The Clean channel is based on the 30th anniversary (6100) when in green mode, with the orange and red modes being hotter variations of that, indeed Joe wanted the guitar player to naturally flew between the different modes of each channel. The green Crunch channel shares the preamp topology of the classic Marshall JTM45 (1959) “Plexi” models, the orange Crunch channel mode features the same design found in the Marshall JCM800 (2203) and the red Crunch channel mode is similar to the Marshall AFD100 in AFD mode.

You make it sound great. especially with the SG. I hated mine, decent cleans but otherwise too much grind and fizz so its up for sale. I bought an Amplified Nation Overdrive Reverb instead and love it.

@@Biblrocks a lot of players dont understand Fletcher Munsen curves and the fact that the more gain is added the "smaller" the sound becomes. Albums like Sports, Raised on Radio etc we recorded the guitars very loud but not with too much gain, and they sound huge (ala Malcolm Young). Live is similar when playing in a band (you are right that they sound great on their own but get lost in the mix live). Love the Vintage Modern!

the problem with cutting sounds is not the amps or the player, but the sound guy behind the mixing console,i also heard Satriani with Chickenfoot using these amps on the clean channel and his usual pedals,he had the sound but was mixed low! and then you have stupid loud subwoofers that suck everything out, plus Db limits, add all that and its disaster

I'd rather hear your rhythmic chugging, bends, and killer vibrato on an SG through that amp than Joe shredding on a pointy guitar. Did I hear a Lukather lick there in the upper register?

The first thing you must do is turn all the rythm gains on half, except for your lead tone.

Buy a metroplus amp if you can swing the dollars for one or a jcm2000 deal with the bias drift get it all tip top and reliable or a vintage modern or a Marshall 80 v 8080 with a bit off tweaking and learning these amps you will find most sounds you want .....I also say those divided by 13 heads you have very nice you also may want to try a lil known Chinese brand a Wong's 2204 copy ....
