It definitely works in his favor. I was in another country in 2003 visiting family. 12 years old, and the Without Me music video came on the TV. I liked it so much, my cousins bought me the album and showed me how to find tracks on a CD player. The Eminem show was my first album and my first entry into rap and music as a whole. I still fuck with 90s Eminems young Shady side, even though I know its never coming back. I can see why others rappers have a bad taste in their mouth because of it. He changed rap and gave it a new face. But by doing so, he opened up the genre to a lot of people.

You are killing my heart right now! I seriously remember where I was the first time I saw this video!!! You have been teaching me so much about hip hop, but this was the first time I was able to kinda sorta understand what he was talking about BC of the video. I'm sure so much went over my head, but I NEEDED the video to help me.

What I like about Eminem is - he’s this rap boy silly goofy dude but at the same time is this scary ass psycho killer criminal and also a serious loving father - all in one

Its all about him having fun with what he does, unapologetically and still untouchable. It WOULD be so empty without em

The only reason I started to listen to eminem was because he was rapping about everything except cars, wheels, low riders, money, alcohol, what he was saying was different and then I started to really listen to the words and from that point on I was hooked

*Michael Jackson bought this record and a few more of Em's songs after he dissed MJ on "Just Like Me", so all the royalties to this song went to MJ. It's amazing of the levels to this industry.*

The concept is around Batman. The theme was also the classic Batman theme song he bent into a rhyme.

On MMLP, Eminem was told that on the album has no radio song, so he wrote The Real Slim Shady in 10 minutes. It's not like he didn't want it there
