Marshall Studio Classic SC20C JCM800 Combo Amp: www.pmtonline....
Marshall Studio Classic SC20H JCM800 Amp Head: www.pmtonline....
Shop the Musicman Stingray: www.pmtonline....
The Marshall Studio Classic SC20C provides all the tone and versatility of the iconic JCM800 2203, but packs it into a more portable amplifier that you can take anywhere. We all want that classic JCM800 sound, but sadly we can’t always cart around a head and 4 x 12” cabinet all the time! This is where the Marshall Studio Classic SC20C comes in handy - providing all the lush dynamics and hard-hitting valve distortion as the original.
An added effects loop, DI out and user-friendly EQ allows you to not only use this amp in a variety of different ways but get a wide variety of different sounds too!

I have this amp and play out with it 4-5 x a month. It’s good. It is a bit 5:10 thin, especially when not cranked. I set treb 0, bass10, mid 3, presence 0. 30 watt, high input. Gain 4, master 6. Pretty clean base sound I recently added a relatively cheap “ effects loop volume control”. I now set MV at 8-9 and reduce volume in the effects loop. ( I have several gain options in front and other time based effects in the loop in addition to a mini spark boost for solos.). Amp is much fatter with this MV setting and I can reduce bass and raise mid and treb. Mic placement greatly afffects mic’s foh sound. People who play and know better who’s opinion I trust often compliment my sound ( sometimes the playing. ). Fender Cyclone with great Seymour Duncan’s ). I’ve used extension cabs. 1x12 2X12. They work but mostly in smaller places I put that little beast right behind me on a stand and let her rip. I think the cab must be well matched to the speaker selection because it sounds pretty good with the stock 10. Very light. So far no issues after lots of gigs in 3 years.

Can you play bass guitar on this combo? From what I read on the internet, Marshall JCM 800 is one of the few amps on which you can play both guitar and bass, but the articels I read were about the JCM 800 head, not about this combo. So, can you play bass guitar on this combo? Thank you!

You can but prolly gonna sound like doo doo. Even with really loud amps bass still tends to sounds muddy and distorted.for the price of this you can honestly get 2 decent amps for your guitar AND your bass and they’re both meant to do what they’re meant to do.

Hello, I've tried both amps, and personally, ive never been a fan of the dsl crs becasue they always sound really flat and 2-D. It's porbably one of the most overateed amps ever. The Jcm800 with 10inch speaker is a lot more powerful than you think. Tried it out at guitar centre and because the close off the back, it had so much bass to it, and the speaker had lots of treble. So i other words, JCM800 10inch speaker > DSL 20CR

Currently in the process of adding a 12 inch Celestion vintage 30. The speaker fits you’ll just have to route out a bigger hole for the bigger speaker. 11 inches should be the diameter of the hole. The amp supports 16 ohms.
