Sounds great, this is a good contrast to the prior video as well to show what a huge difference a cab makes. So many cases of people disagreeing about how an amp sounds but they're using different cabs. This is one of the things that has changed the most IMO is that people are getting it now how big a difference a cab makes

Finally I've found someone, who joined 8100 and Peavey (any sort of). I'm building myself a set of Marshall v100 and DIY cabinet with 15" Peavey Black Widow speaker. Maybe it lacks of hi end a bit, but fits me well. Your set sounds killer.

I have a Marshall Valvestate 8100 and one of my first gigs was wit that amp and the original 8412 cab it came with, that cab has some cheap Celestion speakers with very small magnets (similar to the magnets that come in the low end MG series cabs), it didn't sound terrible but I didn't like the sound of the cab so I sold it, I still have the amp and I'm using it right now with a Marshall MF400 cab, it's a beefier cab with 4 G12-K100 and to my ears it sounds so much better. I think these amps sound really great, are not very expensive and when used properly can give you really good results. Greetings.

Sounds badass! The K-85’s kill! Back in the day the valvestate cabs were decent but they were not a 1960 type cab.

I always remember when I was young going into a music store and they would have a 2k dollar Marshall full stack with a 500 dollar Valvestate half stack setting next to it and the valvestate always sounded heavier. Now I know that the expensive one would sound way better at insane volumes but it was funny playing next to some one and they couldn't figure out why that cheap ass Valvestate was crushing it.

Oh and if I were you I'd keep that amp. Every year there are less and less of them and it's a very sought after amp. Several years down the road you'll be able to get an insane amount of money for them. Just my opinion though.
