Probably the best video on the Firehawk FX. Thank you for showing the classic Fender and Marshall sounds that are available. So many videos are just the super saturated heavy sounds, it's nice to hear the cleans and crunch sounds.

I just got mine, and I can tell you coming from a pure Fender amp and pedal guy, this thing is awesome! Very easy to use and change parameters. I've never been much of a multi-effects guy, but with todays technology they have accomplished amazing sound and nailed it with this one!.

Great vid. Really helpful for the practical musician looking at this board. High gains are fun, but most gigging guitarists need the mild crunch and clean sounds. Sounds like this is a great solution. Thnx.

I am having trouble updating my Firehawk. I use the line6 updater but it never seems to be able to see the Firehawk. I am trying with the USB interface and no interface with just bluetooth. Thanks for your awesome Firehawk Videos. They are great !

Great review, are you running direct to PC or through an amp ? Thanks. I can hear clipping on the clean country riff around @3:00 is that the input level to the device you were recording on ? Love the #Empty Rooms tone
@PjhSA4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I'm running straight into the DAW. No clipping on my system. It's sounds fine. Also the clean, country part is at 07:21.

Great demo! My favorite was the SLO. Any chance you could tell/share the settings for it?

+Scott Baker Thanks, Scott. Unfortunately I only had the Firehawk FX for a short while and didn't save the settings.

Can you post settings for your Plexi Lead starting at 8:18 (for 500x) I checked your site but couldn't find it. Thanks and awesome job.
@MarshallMusicSA9 жыл бұрын
+ToneEssentials Thanks for the comments. That particular patch was made for the Firehawk FX. I didn't make that patch for the HD500X but by putting a delay into the Plexi patch on my website (for the HD500X) you'll get a very similar tone.
@ToneEssentials9 жыл бұрын
+Marshall Music SA Thanks. I figured you may not have but thought I'd ask. I did manage to do that exactly last night as got something very close. I used stereo delay. sounds like that is what you used as well.

+ToneEssentials Yep, thats exactly what I used.

Very nice review! I've had a Firehawk FX since it was released and love it. I do have one question, where on the output dial do you have your send set? I've been running mine around 9 o'clock or slightly higher. With that said, I usually have to throw some heavy compression on the patches to get them loud enough to sound spot on. I run my Firehawk into a FRFR 600w wedge then straight to the sound board. When running the factory stock presets, they are too quiet, even when I run the amp channel or master to 10 (11 on the Marshall's! LOL!). Again, thanks for your great review!
@MarshallMusicSA9 жыл бұрын
+jcoulter43 I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly by you saying 9 o' clock. I have mine much higher. There were some patches that I had the send roughly around three quarters. There are some users who prefer to run the send flat out.
@jcoulter439 жыл бұрын
My setting is around 9 O'clock meaning it's about 1/4 of the way turned up to full. Where do you have your send (big dial with the Red segmented LED display) set? I'm trying to eliminate the compressor in my signal chain to boost the level and I was really impressed with your tones on your video. Thanks for you help and input!
@MarshallMusicSA9 жыл бұрын
+jcoulter43 As I said, Mine is usually up about three quarters of the way up. So I suppose you could say about 3 o' clock.
@jcoulter439 жыл бұрын
I'll give that a try and edit out the compressors. Thanks for the tip!

can this be added and edited through windows 11, instead of remote app on tablet or phone?

Nice playing great sounds. I just bought the Line 6 Firehawk . Can you send me patches to the sounds you was using.
@MarshallMusicSA7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Unfortunately I never kept the patches. I had the unit on loan for about two weeks in order to demo it. If you go through the comments in Part 2 you'll see that someone has taken my settings and created the patches. They've uploaded them under my name.

Looks like the Firehawk is now the bastard son of Line 6. Virtually no support save for nice folks like Peter Hanmer.

I bought a GT100. You need a degree and two years of study to work this thing. I'm selling it and buying the firehawk.

I've been trying to get an answer to this question without success, maybe you can help. Can you run the XLR outputs to a PA WITH cab emulation, and simultaneously send the 1/4" out to a guitar power amp WITHOUT the cab emulation? Nice playing btw.
@MarshallMusicSA8 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Steve. I don't think that you can run the Firehawk as you describe. I have to confess that I only had the unit for about a month and didn't try it that way but I'm pretty sure that it isn't possible. I'd love to be proved wrong though as it's the ideal way to perform live with the FH

This got me to checking. It appears that we're stuck with either LINE MODE - the same speaker emulated signal on XLR and 1/4 Out or AMP MODE - no guitar signal on XLR and non emulated guitar signal on 1/4 Seems like we either have to set No Amp or use the FX Send from before the Internal Amp section to drive an external guitar amp while sending an XLR signal to the desk. This half works but you'd lose any Time Domain Effects that won't go before the Internal Amp section. Phew! Now my brain hurts...

I think pod hd500x demonstrations sounds better.... What other think ?
@MarshallMusicSA9 жыл бұрын
+laxtlo That's interesting. I think they sound pretty similar. If you listen to the intro music on this video - that was done with the Firehawk and sounds a lot like the HD500X. I've found that patch creation is quicker on the Firehawk.
