Up here in Missouri, my buddies and I throw Bobby Garlands exclusively. No matter how they swim or look in the pool, the original shad has always proven to be our most successful. Doesn't matter if it is winter, summer, spawn, etc... always end up going back to the original.

Todd it’s always good no matter the bite when you have family along. Buddy here on or off the Pearl we find them pre spawn typically suspended, and if the pine trees are dusting all horizontal surfaces yellow those babies are preparing for love. In any event it looked like you boys were having a ball. How bout a catch & cook from the banks of the Bogue Falaya w/your invited guest being Mr Sac au lait ? Another half hour well spent❤. Thanx Buddy.

Cork fishing is good when fish are not aggressive. Sometimes the only way, when they are not willing to move very far.

Thanks for de head's up-been wanting to wet a line in ole T-Funky and at our first Lenten Fish Fry,one of my Abita KC brethren mentioned this You Tube to me,love deep-jigging for T-Funky slabs think my personal best a shade over 2.5 lbs and lost a chunk that was a legit 3 plus lb brute but dat's why dey calls it fishing NOT shopping.Gonna get myself on down to de River pronto and Spoiler Shads INCREDIBLY effective plus of course,Bobby Garland and attaching Crappie Psychic trailers and Nibbles aint a bad thing to do.We NEVER use live bait,no need to and much more fun enticing slabs to smack plastics!!

Road runner. Small beatle spin, Colorado blade , slow role. Cork with Bobby garland straight tail. But I don’t know much. Always feed up!

That Rottweiler had a few things to say to me Mardi Gras day. Joel had me at 10 grand. I'd be on that dock saying "who's a good boy" 😂

Sac-A-Lait feed up. It is always better to fish for them by cranking your lure through the water column above their heads. My preferred bait is a 2.8 inch Keitec fat swim bait in the “Sight Flash” color with a little chartreuse accent in stained or/ sometimes even clear water conditions. My average catch with this bait is 3/4 to 3lbs.

Three lbs. wow!

I tried the upper Tchefuncte, up in Washington Parish, last weekend....jig under a cork - absolutely nothing, even though the water looked great. I'll have to try that bottom technique.

Great vid… got put onto your channel by outside the levees… mind… that puppies bark was primeval! … I’ve never been so skint so my price is way lower… a kitkat and a six pack for some cuddles off the bear would do me fine 😂😂

Did you end up giving that guy a fish or two? You should cook it and then take him a plate. Blow his mind! Love the videos! I have been wanting to go after a few crappie to compare them (taste) to flounder. This is lighting s fore under my butt.
