We are seeing loads of small redfish in the Bayou Dularge area. Also, it looks like the March Bass have started to make a comeback. Catching trout, and decent size at that in the Cypermort Point area.

U found the pattern bro,what a catch of trout!

One day I’m going to catch one of those tagged fish. I’ve definitely been catching the small reds. I’m finally finding some keeper reds as well!
@hollypettus9578Ай бұрын
Two weeks ago had 2 keeper reds and about 30 throwbacks 14”-16” next year will be great.

The small reds are everywhere here in SWLA around the Hackberry/Lake Charles area. I have been cast netting for shrimp and she will be killing the small reds and one trip we caught some nice trout on the small croaker I caught in the net. Great video, God bless and see you on the next one.

Last trip out in Lake Borgne near Rigolets, I managed three 20” reds and three rats red juveniles about 14-15”. Good balance mix for next year.

11:16 yes I’ve got plenty that size this year, but it was the same last year and the year before those weren’t the ones missing last year‘s and as far as the bass we don’t target bass when we go to the marsh but we do catch them for us. It’s just a byproduct, when I want to go bass fishing, I go to the rivers and the interstate ponds there’s a lot of monsters hiding in those ponds

I for sure thought you would have tried the matrix mullet at daylight. But the bulls are at the long rocks busting pin fish on top with jacks.

We haven’t had any shrimp moving on the north shore of ponchatrain yet this year. Last year by this time the whole marsh was filled with shrimp, hope the storm from a few weeks ago didn’t kill off a lot of them. Also our temperatures have just started dropping less than 90 degrees so hopefully it’s just a delayed shrimp run.

Gotta go near point aux Chenes and thow the cast net by the small locks in the morning , plenty of shrimp

You cleaned up on eater-sized trout! I am moving to your neck of the woods in about two years, so I really appreciate your videos. I believe I’ll have a little head start on my learning curve from watching all of your excellent videos, sir. I do have one question. What month do the mosquitoes subside in numbers and what month do they come back in strong numbers? Thank you sir. Sam

In the marsh, the mosquitoes are seldom as big a concern for me as the gnats. Two products are MUST-HAVES: Marsh Romance for gnats and Mosquito Hawk for biting flies and mosquitoes and biting flies. I'm a huge fan of both for two reasons: 1) They're extremely effective, and 2) They're completely natural. I'm not a fan of spraying myself down with chemicals.

Which trolling motor are you using? I’m the market for something very similar to what you use. Thanks!

love your explaining of things! is it a good idea to fish in the marsh with a high surf advisory? (relative to hurricane Milton approaching fl and living on the coast of al/ms)

i’d like to know what happened to all the white trout? we used to catch them in late born and all the waterways of Britain sound‘s but I don’t catch any up in Lakeborn anymore and I very seldom catch them around Hopedale and they’re nowhere near as plentiful in Grand Isle‘s.
@bhuey209Ай бұрын
Caught a bunch of them last weekend in pointe aux chenes

Just smh 🤦♂️ Y’all really should raise your size limit to 15”… We throwing back 14-3/4” trout but catching limits ( 15 ) of two to four pound “hammers” here in Mississippi!!! A 5 to 6lb fish is not uncommon here now! Our biggest fish, are caught not on plastic, but live poggies 3” to 4” ,free lining on a # 2 Kahle hook. We suffered for about two years before we started catching limits of 15” plus fish… Great video brother! Keep-um coming… 🕷️
