Something the new generations doesn’t know that us old guys did to our muscle cars back in the late sixties and seventies was add fender flares to the rear to fit massive racing tires. What Dodge did with the Demon C170 is a throwback to that

You know, just like with the Hellcat Durango, I really don't get why OG owners feel shafted and lied to especially. They know whats going on. Did they really believe Dodge of all people were going to just end the Hemi without going all out with a bang!? Are they all under a rock with no clue that this emissions garbage was going on, let alone how many manufacturers are trying to do something semi special with their final gassers because of it (at tleast the ones making interesting stuff) If they truly feel shafted, they were probably only in it for the "collectible status" and aren't worth of having it. These are the last of the awesome V8s. Damn right they were gonna push them.

I honestly just wish the Demon 170 had a more special color. The red they used for the Demon is just so iconic and immediately told u what kind of muscle car it was and how monstrous it is. Taking the flares off kinda makes sense cause it saves a lot of weight so I can't blame them for that buuut ik they could've done something else cosmetically to show off how special and crazy the 170 is with color alone

FYI the demon 2018 goes only 168 because of the drag radials and governor. 211 is only done by changing tires and breaking the ecu. Not stock doing the record 211 7:20 . Germans limit theirs to 155. It’s all about what tires can handle with that much power

It can be. It doesn’t come with it but there will be a premium leather interior option that adds the heated/ventilated seats and 18 speaker HK audio system with an amplifier and trunk-mounted sub, and more (from Stellantis)

Dodge used to be the good guys in white hats. They were all about affordable transportation. Used to sell Dodge back in the 80's . Lot of sticker shock back then. We'll see how it goes. They ought to keep some gas burners around. Many people can't afford the EV's.

american companies were utter trash in the 80's. The Japanese were kicking their ass in almost every aspect it was pathetic. the Americans pivoted in the late 70's early 80's to attempt to compete with the japanse by down sizing and lower pricing, it failed because the cars were junk. This is what dodge should be doing. EV's will come down in price as does any new technology, already we see chevy bolt EV's for under $30k.

Almost completely unobtainable. They are offered first, and almost exclusively to present owners of the Demon. I have met a man this week who can afford to buy one cash. This man has been a Mopar Fan for 50+ years, he is a specialized mechanic for Mopar vehicles, he owned, along with his 3 brothers, over 30 of them, repaired/modified/promoted/raced them for this amount of time, and has a YT Channel (with 240K followers) dedicated to owning and restoring old muscle cars, especially these cars. And yet, FiatSler REFUSES to sell him one of these 170s. WTF?

As a retired Chrysler employee and one of the original members of the SRT design team. I think this version is absolutely disgraceful. Those who purchased the original and, in my opinion, the best package DEMON got SCREWED OVER! No surprise, it's a classic trait of the way Chrysler has done for decades. This new version is far less and extremely overrated.

@@uik99 no big deal.. theres 4 rotor all wheel drives built by individual companys . 2400 hp fox bodys . Hellephant 69 chargers etc to look at. I dont worship man or machine . I appreciate the art but id never want to own a custom car again. Rather get a ute and a dirtbike.. besides dodge always knew the challenger was heavy from the start . Id wait for the corvette Awd zora hybrid . . It wont need a parachute to take that turn at the end of the 1/4..im not concerned if someone loves my car or not . If i was given one id sell it.
