I’m a Diddy main and I’ve gotta say that ZSS is harder. There might be smth I’m missing, but, the way I see it, Diddy has more room for error and has better matchup spread and cashes out on damage better than ZSS.

DIDDY is the simpler character to pick up But in mastery terms DIDDY is way harder with the options he has A command grab An item Great aerials and tilts Versatile up b There’s so much you can do with all of that while ZSS doesn’t have much else outside of mastering movement

@@Alibaba-id1cs I hear you. It’s strange since in a previous podcast episode, tweek said that Kazuya is not hard in spite of the tech. There’s no getting around that kazuya is a technically demanding character. And tweek’s own words were that it’s the technical side that makes a character but rather what is possible with the character (ie who’s more difficult to win with). With that logic, it’d certainly be ZSS. If we just want to make a list of who has more tech and options, then yea that’s Diddy.

Marss is 100% right about YL, but about Inkling I honestly think that part of the reason they fell off is because rep just kinda disappeared, I feel like I haven't seen a good Inkling run in a while (I don't follow Ult super seriously so let me know), and on top of that they have a similar problem as Lucina in that their gameplan and general neutral I'd argue is very cookie-cutter and can get kinda boring

Diddy and zss are both top 10 hardest characters to play so it’s a close argument either way but I think zss is harder. Diddy has a shitload of tech and mechanics you have to learn to play him optimally but his gameplan and matchup spread is significantly easier and better than zss.

Tweek will get pissed then bust out some new combo he's been labbing. Marrs cant even let himself get pissed cuz ZSS isnt as explosive. I play Sheik and Young Link and honestly the complaints are just not that big of a deal LOL. Sheik has a million kill setups. She may not be able to just dair into up smash but even jab will eventually kill and she has a pretty hard time losing neutral. Just be patient. Do damage without taking damage and you win. Sheik is a cool character but if you gotta stopp to being lame like Sonic then just do it. Young Link is definitely choose to lose, though. Down throw, down tilt, side b, grounded up b, reverse up tilt, and first hit bair all combo into a percent where you can now die by getting hit by a projectile across the stage. If Fox is choose to lose for killing you in two interactions then Young Link is too. They also both suck at recovering. The transitive property we all learned in geometry applies to things other than math LOL.
