My concern for that video is the fact that that Joker and Wolf DIDNT FALL OFF that significantly compared to actually fallen off characters Inkling, Wario, Pikachu and even ZSS have fallen off way harder than any of the characters listed there Pikachu less so nowadays but if Shinymark never performed well we’d think he’s high tier for some reason lmao

I'd disagree. Characters like Wario and pikachu aren't as prevalent as they once were, but weren't that much higher than they are now. Joker and wolf were possibly the best and most used character respectively so them falling to just another top tier as they are now is a much more significant fall off.

Kinda feels like in many situations, Lucina struggles to capitalize hard after winning neutral, and her average disadvantage makes it harder to fight against chars who can get way more out of an opening while staying similarly safe in neutral. Might be biased tho, luci main since s4 😔 bring back jab 1 and uthrow killing at 150 instead of 180

12:00 that's why I play Marth over Lucina. Call Marth bad all you want but he is undeniably way more fun to play which pushes me to get better with him over Lucina. My Lucina is good but if I want to play a more consistent character I have a Corrin who gets me top 8s and top 16s at events. Really no reason to play Lucina if I find her THAT boring. I now only play Lucina as a warm up character, because she is so boring I never get angry when I lose or too excited when I win.

As a Joker main, his down gun definitely needed it. The other stuff is debatable though. Down gun was definitely too broken at launch. In fact, if you think about it, the down gun nerf might have actually opened up some new tech for Joker such as footstool downgun, I’m not sure if it would be as simple to perform if it still had the horizontal range and I don’t think any Jokers were experimenting that much with footstool before the nerf.
