This piece makes me miss Poland, and I have never been to Poland... That is how well Chopin was able to express emotions through his music

This performance is simply magical. Every note, mood, ornament, transition, and timing, is flawless. What a lovely journey I've just been on.

I always mistakenly hit that like button. How many times should I have to remind myself that I have already hit like before!

Despite its simplicity, this is a very sophisticated work. How many modes did Chopin employ in this one piece? Hint, several. Thanks for posting.

Modes, nuances and intentions so to speak, not even Argerich figured them out, and this rendition was the best I've ever heard.

E X Q U I S I T E 😭 Chopin is my God, my existence and the reason why I'm still alive. Argerich's rendition was Magnificent 😭😭💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗. Seems simple doesn't it? It isn't, easy to read, difficult to interpreter, Chopin added many nuances and intentions so to speak...💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

A gdzie frazy chopinowskie? Chwilami jakby się słuchało muzyki latynoskiej… P. Argerich zeszła na psy, albo polubiła się w gatunkach…

Indeed... I also do not understand why she is playing this piece so fast, as if in a hurry to leave the concert hall.

@@pogon4life There are disputes about the metronome mark, and so about the tempo. It is allegro non troppo. Chopin gave it as 108 for the quarter. But he also gave 108 to the first mazurka, which is lento! So later editors assumed there was a mistake. Some gave 138, but Theodore Kullak in his edition gave 192. She is following Kullak, or following a tradition of playing it very fast perhaps because of Kullak, or she simply feels it should be played fast (it is a folk dance, after all; some mazurkas are faster than others). Take your pick.
