esta versión es un auténtico sueño,para cualquier melómano o pianista por bueno que sea.Consciente o no de que cualquier pianista se mide por esta obra emblemática,Argerich,dueña de los más grandes dones pianísticos, libra una versión en mi opinión memorable .La grabó ,creo, solo una vez, (1972),pero definitivamente para la posteridad.

I love this recording! It's literally the only Liszt sonata I will listen to. However, I heard, that she didn't personally play the octaves on this, but had her husband do it. I hate to gossip.... can anyone verify this rumor? or debunk?

Well, I can tell you that Martha's octaves are unparalleled. Not even Cziffra could play octaves with such precision and control.

@@lenamcginnis5168 Cause there are people out there, who are much better in playing classical music, then me. I'm good in improvisation, but that's basically a forbidden scene, since about a century. It's only allowed in jazz, and not taken serious by any means. Strange situation, since music was 90 + X % about improvisation for hundreds of thousands of years, but this is a strange world on many levels, anyway.

What's with the tuning on this recording? It is not consistent, varying by as much as a quarter tone at times. Either that, or I'm going crazy.

Wonderful ! Haarbesträubend . A woman is playing ! 1:48 : that's exactly the same when my wife is going angry , devastating all on her way . One time , she threw all my breakfast in the garden .
