I recognized that green-rimmed serving platter right away. About 20-25 years ago, Martha wrote a book about shopping at tag sales and flea markets. There is a photo of her holding that platter on the cover.

I don’t think Martha’s business accumen is appreciated nearly enough. I liked the documentary “Martha” she let everyone see the unflattering aspects and mistakes she made as well. For me, her childhood explains alot about her personality and perfectionism. I love her for being a survivor, her husband, a trusted employee and “best friend” used and betrayed her and broke her heart. Looking at her court case now, she was unnecessarily railroaded for others political gain. Compared to current crook politicians, insane that she did time. If Martha seems protective and distant, I don’t blame her. Bravo, Martha.

Guess you missed the part in the documentary where she admits to kissing a stranger, while on her honeymoon (and acting like it was nothing) , and having an affair herself (guess it's OK that she cheated on her husband, but not him cheating on her? Hypocrisy.) that she acted as if it was nothing. Double standard, eh, Martha? Ex husband asserts that he only cheated after he found out she cheated. He said, she said. The point is, regardless of affairs by either one, something else wasn't working in the marriage. That she still feels the need to badmouth him publicly some 40 years later? You have to wonder why...I feel for her when her boyfriend of some 15 years ended up marrying someone else with no warning (if what is shown is true) and after she was out of prison. Do I think they came down harder on her than others? Perhaps, but she did engage in insider trading no matter what all the parties claim. Had she admitted her guilt, I would have thought more of her because hey, some rich people do things like commit crimes to increase their wealth and think they did nothing wrong. Compared to some famous felons (no names mentioned here), she was clearly targeted. I do think women are held to double standards in everything. Yes, business success but at what price. Too many people who worked for her told how difficult and demanding she was. I think her family history made her what she was. Perhaps if her father had been a better father and kinder human being, she would not have felt the need for everything to be perfect. Perfection is great to aim for but not at the expense of relationships. And let's not forget, she had a lot of people working with her. All that creativity? Really, you think she did that all by herself. It's like clothing designers with big names. They have staff and people who come up with products, designs, etc. NO ONE person can do it all. Martha rarely shared credit but I remember some of her staffers who got some acknowledgement in the magazine and in her tv show. I admire and applaud her success as a businessperson, but I do not admire her as a person.

Down to earth and classy at the same time. Loved the recipes - the potato dish made me think of a baked potato with sour cream for some reason. 😋!

Why I love watching her shows and cooking tips is she makes it look so flawless. I'm suprised there is not Martha Stewart frozen dinners. But she's a perfectionist so probably insist she makes the food herself.

In desperation, trying to save my lame cooking abilities, my mom gifted me one of those grid chopper/box tools. If I hand chop all those vegetables they won’t look that uniform, but do I care?

❤Martha❤ I love her soothing voice. Watched the documentary over the weekend. Amazing. Been a fan for years. I'm of Polish descent on my Dad's side. One of my fav dishes he made was mashed potatoes and buttermilk! I remember one Summer, he improved and put a little fresh chopped cucumber from his garden in it! Interesting! Def getting your 100th cookbook. I love you Martha. Thank you Martha. God Bless you ✨️Martha✨️✌️💛

I've always loved Martha Stewart and will buy her book. Don't know if I'd like her potato buttermilk soup, though. It reminds me of when I cheat and scoop heavy cream into my mouth when using in a recipe.

Similar soups, though admittedly with many more ingredients are very popular in central Europe and are eaten during hot summers. This particular dish probably originates from peasant cooking, very simple, cheap and satisfying.
