In my opinion, Martha Wash is the undisputed Queen of Dance Music. From Disco to House, Freestyle to Breaks, to Trance and beyond, her vocals have been behind the most iconic dance tracks from the last 5+ decades. Regretfully, she has never been given the respect she fully deserves. I ❤ you Martha. Keep the anthems coming.

I first learned about her when I read a book about Sylvester called "The Fabulous Sylvester." I was curious and listened to some of his music and I remember being sooooo blown away by Martha's vocals in their cover of "You Are My Friend." She is such a gem!!

🤗❤️🥰💋😍 Martha looks amazing!!! An ICON and vocal powerhouse! Thanks for doing this, Milik!! I love much of her music but her duet with Luther Vandross of the remake of " I Who Have Nothing" is one of my top faves.

What y'all should've been talking about was that slayage on that "taking away your space" from 1976 because that was phenomenal.

I love Martha's 'Dream On' and 'I've Got You', and love her album from RCA so much. I just wish she could sing more love song ballads like those of Mariah and Whitney. I think her vocal is up there with Mariah, Whitney, Lisa Fischer etc.

Man, Rebie Jackson's "Centipede" was a HUGE hit back in the 80's that I remember VERY well!!! But I had NO idea that the part she cuts loose at the end was MARTHA WALSH!!! WOW!!! I DID NOT make that connection, and it was right in my face...right in my EARS rather! NO DISRESPECT to Rebie, but I often wondered, with a voice like that, WHY Rebie didn't pursue a music career and try to be as big as other Jacksons and female artists. Now, I guess I know why!
