The funny thing is that you chose the song in which Dave did not take part, actually. It was written by King and Hanneman but the drums part was done by Paul Bostaph, who was Slayer's drummer at the time.

I saw SLAYER in '91, & it was the best concert I've seen!!!! Dave's the main reason I started listening to SLAYER. His sound and technique is simply thunderous and amazing!!!!!!

Dave never had much technique. He's a brute with no refinement. I love that. He gives hope to people that just want to jam.

One thing that is interesting about him is that he doesn't warm up. Instead, he uses the first song on the set to warm up the body, so keep in mind this is in fact the first song.

Just stumbled into this channel. Great video man! To me, Dave Lombardo is the quintessential Heavy Metal drummer. I can't even imagine what those classic Slayer albums would have sounded like without him.
