Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center w/ Jake Mace I was wondering if you would be willing to demonstrate some of your martial arts on me for your video. We can go full throttle. I know zero martial arts. Im over weight. My back is hurt. Im 44 years of age. I really think it would be great for your viewers to see if your martial arts really works in real world exercise. Instead of having someone throw a bunch when you tell them too. Or tell them where to throw the punch. Please respond. I'll fly out to California on my dollar just to film it.

I am not that old that this message seems, I am only 19 and the health problems " were with me " since I was born...what I wanna tell you is that you are amazing and I like your perseverance, keep doing what do you do we all love you ✌

thenk you for this video i and I like the way your dad said that . when I was a kid I always loved martial arts but I've never went to a training . now Im 21 y old and I started a karate training even tho I don't love it that much but In my contry we don't have a kung fu training ( I'm sorry for my english if I said anything incorrect ) thenks again .
Dearest Sifu Jake, thanks so much for all your great example and demonstration of how fun this endeavor can be. I have been training in yoga and martial arts for 50 years and still find new things to learn from you in almost every video. In this one I learned by watching what happens with the supporting leg & foot in spinning hook kicks and the other kicks as well. I was so happy to hear that Bill Wallace is still teaching. I took some weekend seminars from him back in the early '80s. They were some of the best classes I've ever experienced because he was so up beat and funny, I mean bend over and burst out laughing funny, while he was demonstrating the most phenomenal kicking technique & flexibility. He would put a comb between his toes & comb a students hair while standing in his signature one legged stance. On one occasion this really big guy (6'5"-6" butthead) threw a kick to his groin while he was demonstrating in slow mo against a taller opponent. He never lost his cool, he just smiled & sort of huffed a laugh and then bitched slapped him 3 or 4 times ( it was really too fast to count) in the chest & face, just old style light contact, to make his cheeks red. Then he walked over, put his hand around his shoulder (as I've seen you do) and asked him if HE was okay. A true hero and model of example for the Master, as are you. Much gratitude. Peace.

Thank you for your video, better than the average very good cardio. I totally agree with you on mastering the basics however respectfully only a suggestion, weaknesses that I can see is that you should always look at where you are kicking most of them I didn't see you at least take a quick peak. Second, you must work more on your retrieves their's to much wasted motion. More Meditation and concentrate more on yourself, take a break from teaching our cups will never be full, trust me you gave them enough for a lifetime unless you are doing it to survive. You will definitely see more speed and Effortless Techniques. Do all of your stretching after your workouts your actually fatiguing your muscles ligaments and tendons therefore effecting your workouts. Breathing before during and after as you already know is extremely important. You owe yourself more respect to ask people something that you should already know, your hair ⚡. A Martial Artist Master is all business Spiritually and Ritually. The spinning tornado hook kick is not practical on the streets, only in the movies.🙏

Hey Jake, I'm brazilian and I want to know your opinion on Capoeira! Have u ever heard of it? Its a combat style that was created by african slaves here in Brazil and it was disguised as a dance so their masters wouldn't notice the practice. It uses mostly leg movements and has a lot of awesome kicks! Check it out!

Hey Jake, I love martial arts but I don't have a split, How can I learn all those high kicks?
@achouakdjenadi51115 жыл бұрын
You basically don't need the splits to kick higher , I can barely open the splits to 100° but my kicks go high , you just need to practise your kicks as high as you can without warming up , it's gonna be tough at the beginning but your body will get use to it and you'll even be able to kick high in the street fight .repetition is the key...
