This is beautiful execution of technique, graceful and effortless... I recently started to learn Aikido, but came from a Judo background... I tend to use too much force and end up doing something similar to Osoto Gari...Thank you for your work, this is really informative as well as inspirational!

Still love to watch your old aikido stuff for bjj and judo, I've pulled off "aikido" moves plenty of times while rolling and the time I trained Aiki really helped my bjj/judo when I started :) thanks rokas!

Nice tutorial on Irimi nage however personally I find that entering inside on a 45 degree angle is much better to get the balance before you step in to throw. Plus applying funakogi whilst taking the balance too. Then you can either tenkan or just irimi through to throw. It works on taller people who are stronger. But that's just my personal approach.

Don't leave your body behind. Leading with the head is good, but your feet don't follow in some of the demonstrations, which is important.

You teach it completely different but the most close to the spiritual tradition of aikido I have ever seen. Almost everyone simply just smashes the person down with the arm the looking up,is amazing. Just don’t think you should have stopped teaching. I think instead you should have just taught it as spiritual development dance.

that wouldn't work if the other person was stronger and had a good grip...you cannot waft a strong grab off like that

Actually it works if you can outbalance them, (I used kindergarten version). I'm speaking from perspective of someone who has height less than 5', and usually all my practice partners are stronger and taller than me.

There is a weak spot in everybody's grip and it's always in the same place. Plus once you bend the wrist the grip becomes much, much weaker. It's actually very easy to break even the strongest grip if you konw what you're doing.

This will NEVER work against anyone moving in. He has ZERO balance, his body is too far past the attacker and he's sideways losing all of his power.

I have to say it's a bit frustrating to watch this. It's very long. Maybe if you show the complete technique first and then start to explain it step by step, it could work better...

vous n'ètes pas du tout centrer sur votre partenaire si il décent légèrement son centre votre technique ne passera pas vos bras doivent toujours être devant vous ,pas derrière

Enough! You're off balance, standing sideways to your Uke which gives you zero power and if he breathed on you you'd end up on your butt, you're too far in when you even think about the technique and that's why you end up trying to drag your Uke with your arm too far behind you. Just compare it to this....kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIKrfYaMaNh8ndk

It's not weird. At my old dojo we had a lot of spare gi, and labeling them is normal, as many are the same as ordered by the dojo to save students money on gi costs. And having a visible name on the gi helps student-instructor communication. A nametag would be inappropriate - that I have never seen.

For a few dollars more, you an have your name embroidered in kanji or Roman letters….have to say handwritten in pen looks a bit unprofessional.

Want to spar I'll use chinese, Japanese and Korean martial arts, I have developed a combo system that works wonders for me, I will spar with anyone and I most likely get dq, due to groin strikes and punches to the head no rules, rules carry out into your fighting style and diminishes your capabilities, just ask Benny the jet!!!!!

Aikido not as practical as hapkido no comparison. I can and want to prove this, I will not be compliant how do you think you can beat me with those moves, you wouldn't have a chance to get to me ,distance, closeness, relaxed and fast, only Seagal in his prime would have beaten me with his approach to aikido

Jerald Cuccurullo. I fully understand your point and there is a lot in Aikido today which is utterly unrealistic if you are fighting someone with experience who means it. But there are several aikido practitioners (who have no time for pretend, flowery delusion) who could make the point. But it would be beneath them, which is kind of the point.

I have studied both of these arts over 25 years. Other than Hapkido kicks little difference in technical use if they are executed correctly. However there is alot of Aikido school not teaching it properly, more dance school. A true master from either art is hard to tell the difference ,

Not very good in terms of the explanation for the moves, you speak way too much and it detracts from good lesson, also your audio has pc glitches, you should watch how aikido flow does there lessons it would help you make easier to understand video lessons from which all can learn 2 moves per week and so on.
