Why couldn't EA just remaster this game its sad I bought ufc 5 knowing it wouldn't live up to REAL mma fans expectations. This game isn't even backwards compatible for either console gaming sucks devs give us what they think we want instead of what consumers deserve for their hard earned money. @@ldking5132 UD3 is a fantastic game OFFLINE. It kills EA in terms of game modes and just overall what you can do offline. But online, the game was a travesty and most people have forgotten about that. But besides all that, it is missing a lot of features that EA UFC has. - Striking is far more robotic. - No vulnerability system. - Cannot strike moving in all directions. - The core stamina system is far worse. - The defensive tools are severely lacking too. No pivot lunges, block counters, stiff arm retreat, minor and major lunge, minor and major head movement and the block is a giant force field. On the ground UD3 does the ground and pound better and it has some positions that EA UFC doesn’t, but it’s also lacking so much that EA UFC has. - No momentum transitions. - No contextual transitions. - No independent transitions. - And most importantly, no seamless submissions. There’s so much more to a game than just being a great experience offline for me. And I’d make a video about this, but at this point, people are not really interested in nuance, or debating in good faith. So no matter how much I actually logically break down why UFC 5 IS the better game to me, it’ll fall on purposeful, deliberate deaf ears. That said, UD3 is an old game and shouldn’t even be compared to UFC 5 and the fact that it is should be a wake up call for EA that MUCH more needs to be done. I wish THQ was still around and could compete with EA. I think that if they would’ve made a game today it would probably wipe the floor with EA. But in its current 10 year old state, it is not a better game than UFC 5. Not even close.

The best MMA game the world has to offer , wish it'd get rereleased so it was available above more recent MMA games. It's not perfect but considering the time it came out the fact it compares at all is a testament to how well ti was made. Varying fight styles , a decently advanced clinch and wrestling. Indiviual takedown styles based on there martial art base. It's easily the best way to see how martial arts differ

EA have nothing to do with this game, hence why isn't miles better. THQ was the publisher and they went bust around 2012 so you're more than likely never going to see this back on digital stores. You can either emulate it or fork out the dough for a physical PS3 and game to play it.
