It seems like he’s used to fighting much more impatient people by how passive he is. I imagine his strategy is to frustrate and bait out a bad hits trying to get a quick KO so he can dodge and counterattack. He would’ve been more effective against you if he was less passive but that passivity probably works against a lot of people.
@Caniacforever3 жыл бұрын
this fighter was used to people losing their composure when they start missing and that making them more aggressive. he needs you to rush to make those counters. you taking 1 or 2 and then going back to distance gave him trouble. the body shots gave him real trouble too. once you got the feel for which directions he favored to move his body, you knew where he was leaving his head. great fights.

I feel like you could have the best one in the entire world but it doesn’t do enough damage to really mean anything unless you are really good at other space creating techniques and also setting up those techniques first. Like body teep, side kick, spinning side, oblique kicks. No way in hell you could just use jab. Remember that I’m not really the one taking like .5 percent damage, the jab would hurt irl, but on the game? I’ll just take a few, then start with hooks.(on ufc 4… you can definitely get away with this in real life)
@tehf00n Жыл бұрын
I decided to make Nicolino Locche as a CAF so thought I'd look up how effective head movement is via this video. You took him apart so quickly but I can't help think what if he was more aggressive with his ground game with it. Slipping into a takedown gets decent points if you are a point-fighter (as long as you put some work in to keep them there for at least a short time). Something I noticed was his tendency to slip into your power hand was a sign of his muscle memory with the controller being biased. It was putting him in all kinds of danger and he relied on his double slip to rear to escape any potential damage and get a shot in. I think the fact he was trying to showcase his slipping here also wasn't showing his other fight intelligence. Especially as Cruz's style is more suited to hands down, outside distance with regular direction changes so you can slip in and out. He was pocketing here to show more of his slip skills I think. Still, I like that he put the effort in to focus it where a lot of people don't.
@t._dot3 жыл бұрын
I feel like his one trump card is 90% less effective when going into a fight knowing he's the king of slips. He would probably need to face Martial unknowingly for him to really flex his skill

What you were saying about head movement.. Bisping vs Silva, Bisping is a good example of that. Theres a free fight on youtube thats really good, it should still be up. Hes head movement is just guessing. Not much skill based. Most of the slips we’re luck and het got KO’d just because of his head movement.

I gotta hone my craft at this game and come back with something intriguing to rope Martial into a fight. I enjoy the simple aspects of this game.

You have no idea how poetic this is to see from the vision of a person playing a different fighting game. Tekken and UFC are worlds apart but this got me hooked so bad holy sh-

Am I interrupting you? You put a hyphen signifying that you got interrupted.

I’m the absolute best at forgetting how to do each move going into every fight. Goated at throwing wild roundhouse kicks and missing 95% of them as well

I like to pick guys that are mostly wrestlers and then box all match. Because people will stand and bang until they're loosing then take to the ground for a submission

When I verse people like this that constantly move the head, I like to pressure and go close so they keep moving their head and wasting stamina, while I don’t actually throw anything

I once played a game where the opp. Was a god at the head leaning, I just started hooking and they’d lean into it. Every now again I’d go for the body which would ultimately stun the body as they leaned in a direction that maximized my damage. Once you compose yourself and read the fighter you have the advantage.

Those check lead hooks you were hitting him with TJ were timed exceptionally

Your movements in this game are so smooth. Every time I fight it’s edgy almost like a robot. How can I become more in rhythm?

Yo Martial, I was just on his TikTok where he announced that you and him fought and everyone was bashing him dude. I think he did pretty well but everyone saying he “doesn’t deserve the clout” or “he isn’t that guy” and honestly because of his style I implemented dodging and weaving more into my play style, and I think I’m doing better now that I’m not focused more on take downs.

This where I learned how to win most of my fights. By reading the opponent while being effectively offensive. Ofc I don't always win tho. But most of the time I do

These type of guys are always so easy to beat . Once you don’t play into their game plan and be patient and pick them apart 9/10 they’ll either be knocked out or rage quit by the end of the 2nd

This is like a dbz fight when they start out in base seating their opponents then they gradually turn up the heat
