I used to play simplistic fighting games on Roblox and would constantly be accused of running away or spamming. My most common response was "why do you let me?" It usually requires the other player to contemplate for a second before ego takes back over so I keep letting them create the thought. "Why don't you chase me down?" "You keep pull countering me" "Why don't you counter my counter?" "I can't read you" Lol literally right as you mentioned it in the video. "Okay, so bait n punish" "I don't know how to throw a feint" *I start crowding and slip countering* "Now you're spamming" "Counter me" *Whiff* *Whiff* *Whiff* *He's in the corner* "I can't get out without taking damage" "Push me away" "How?" "Hit me back" "You're gonna hit me with a crush counter..." "That's just the risk you gotta take." We learned footsies :)

He's young and hates losing at anything. I have a nephew that was this way, super competitive, gets frustrated then angry then loses it. We sparred, full gear head to toe, he kept lunging but would open his guard and I'd slip the jab. Mind you, this was kick boxing gear, gloves & legs are just thin padding. After taking jab after jab he did the head down rush and I hit him with an upper cross which put him down. Now he's out of control, threw his gloves off and came at me, hard over hand, hip through, arm bar. Had to do the arm because I knew he needed time to calm down. He lost control and it always cost him. He was 16, joining the Marines and wanted to be ready in every physical way, mentally he was all over the place. Fishing calmed him. Today, he uses his head, works everything out before doing it and is a great husband & father. Now, I wouldn't spar with him because he's 6'2" 245lbs, benches 400+ and could throw me through a wall. Don't wanna test his anger management. 😆 🤣 😂 Aggressive kids that don't quit usually have a parent or sibling or even kid in the neighborhood that makes them that way. I'm glad he joined the Marines, they got him to use his head. I tried, but my way sucked, but I'm not laying down for anyone. 😄 Plus I love Boxing & Combat Sambo and spent 2 decades being beat around. So don't be to critical of these people, they have a never surrender attitude, but do exactly what you did and be relentless. Eventually they do learn. Granted it's usually years later, but it makes them a better person. Sorry for the wall of text.

my dad taught me to box in real life. the one thing he always said was to pace my shots and dont wildly try and throw punches in because all its gonna do is tire you out and leave gaps open for your opponent to strike. and even in video games this is true. look at his stamina how he keeps letting it drop right down and how he desperately flails kicks and punches and dodging/blocking at poor times. hes not watching what your doing or planning his next attack hes just trying desperately to land a hit on you and make you take a step back. but you did pretty good stamina control and got a lot of shots on him either from him franticly hitting you or dodging at the wrong time allowing you to get good hits in. you watched for his movement and landed good blows when he could have slowed himself down and did something.
