Nice review, I have the same bike. Just a small correction: the battery is 280 Wh, not 250. The bike is not as portable as a scooter, although I don't consider either a last-mile vehicle with ranges of over 25 km. I think the main advantage of an ebike compared to a scooter is that the bike can provide you with some exercise (if you choose so) while you just stand on a scooter. In addition, with the bike you don't have to be afraid of the battery going flat as you can ride it even with the flat battery.

Hi! Can check something for me? What is the height of the bike when folded when the saddle is completely removed? I would like to be able to pack the bike in the baggage compartment of the plane I fly (Piper 28-181) and the door is 52x56 cm. It looks like it will be tight but might squeeze in. At the point of the highest spot there is some space from below so there is a chance it goes in. Appreciate your help!

I think it may be interesting to compare this FiiDO D2s with the fiido L2. The L2 get a 350w motor and a 20Amps Battery. This make this e-bike very "torquy" and its autonomy is incredibly good >70Km for about same weight. L2 get also a 2nd seat on the back on which you can attach a child seat or a rear bag without any problem. The price is about 700€. Both are very similar a bout the look and feel. It's a real pleasure to ride this e-bike.

I have both, Fiido D1 and Kugoo e scooter. For short distance I use scooter, but when it is raining or longer distance, I definately use fiido. 1st year impression is that I am really enjoying it. Some times I just go out riding because of the feeling.

Does Holland allow the three and four wheeled Invalid vehicles? I presume so, in UK it is absurd regarding electric scooters, 3 and 4 wheels good but two are forbidden. Being a Pulmonary Cripple, I could use an electric scooter to get up to local shops, being in a small flat the invalid vehicles would be impossible to get inside,or up narrow path, whereas a scooter would be ideal.

Not fully legal in the UK given that it has a "throttle" which allows it to push along without pedalling. You could probably get away with it though

Largely I think the "spirit of the law" is saying "Just don't be a prick" If you're in regular cycling gear they're unlikely to stop you anyway. I don't wear lycra as I have to use it for work (excluding Covid times), but I do wear overtrousers, and a super reflective jacket that I bought from mountainwarehouse, as well as my helmet and gloves. It's unlikely the police will ever stop me even if I rode an illegal bike given they see I'm trying to not be a prick whilst riding one lol! I did however buy a "Proper ebike" given I ride 13 miles to work and back

I don't like the battery size but it has a lot of good features. And I don't like the 250 watt hub. I like at least 20 mph. Does it have a throttle only feature?

Pedal assist mode level 1: max speed is 10 km/h, level 2: max speed 15 km/h, level 3: max speed 20 km/h. You can definitely travel longer with the pedal assist modes than with full-electric mode, but the max speed is about 25 km/h with full electric mode.

Gears add weight, another point of failure and a rather hefty €54 to the price tag while a D1 with 10.4Ah battery is the same price as a 'basic' D2. The range given for the D2 is also only 20~35km instead of 25~40km for a 7.8Ah D1 and 40~55km for the 10.4Ah version. I must admit though a D1 looks even more like a toy, if appearance is important I would get the D2 for sure.

@@tinghuang1435 I ordered and received the D1 10.4Ah today and it's great, no need for suspension with the right tire pressure and it's just... Yeah great bike with really small wheels but riding it you don't notice anything. When you need to replace it's going to be a challenge but Schwalbe has 'big apple' tires that fit and perform really good, going to swap tomorrow. Dunno what else to improve right now, it is good as it is.
