I tried experimenting with Drift a couple of times and had no success. Your video inspired me, thanks for that. I didn't even understand the effect of the "Drift" parameter😅

What a great walkthrough, good pace and easy to understand, definitely inspired me to take a deeper look this weekend and start making some patches :)

Good stuff. Love Drift, and one of the reasons I love it is the really nice Push UI. All of the Ableton synths work well with Push, of course…but it feels like they have really put some additional time and thought into the Push UI of the newer synths (like Drift). With Drift (as well as Meld, and a couple others), you have a UI for your synth that is pretty comparable to, say, a Hydrasynth (eight knobs mapped in sections that can be switched between with a button tap). 😁

Yeah the Push integration with all of the synths is really fantastic! 😁

The best is Operator, hands down. But you made this feel good. Gonna give it a try now.

Operator is wicked! It's a real shame that it's only included with Suite, as a lot of people don't have access to it because of that.

”Best” or ”most versatile” aside, I think it’s the best-sounding synth in Live, altho it certainly doesn’t lack competition! (edit: I’m not a native english speaker, but I get the feeling ”lacks” is a little clunky in that sentence. Does ”it certainly has competition” feel more natural to your ears? Comments welcome!)

"It certainly doesn't lack competition" doesn't sound clunky at all. It's a more advanced way of saying "It certainly has competiton" which, granted, is more "to the point", but also more basic. Sounds like you've got a good grasp of English to me ;)

Or just use amazing free synths like vital or surge xt

Vital and Surge XT are both fantastic synths too! All three are really different, I just wanted to showcase some of the cool things you can do with Drift in this video. :)
