As usual, Cooper's guitar playing is wonderful. He always knows what to play to get the best sound out of each guitar. That 00-18 Modern Deluxe already sounds broken in.

Great sounding guitar! And so were many of those Martin Prototype and limited editions from 2022. That carbon fiber bridge plate helps its tone, as Chris emphasized. Also has the Modern Deluxe neck.

I have a one-off prototype Taylor 810 Dreadnought that was built by Andy Powers personally with the provenance: "Cool guitar. That’s a “run” of one guitar. Bob and I thought it would be fun to build an Adirondack and Brazilian 810 around the time of their redesign. My shop log reminds me I built it very similar to the advance performance architecture, just tuned a little different for that set of Brazilian. We had thought we might do a few like that, but as far as I recall, we only built the one. -Andy" It was built in 01/2014 and named the "American Dream" on the serial number label. It is interesting that Taylor launched a new series of guitars named the 'American Dream' in 2020 which are moderately priced, yet the prototype of the same name was built with some of the most expensive tone woods available. It is both beautiful looking and sounding, I doubt I will ever sell this guitar.

I fiddled with the neck thingey and was thinking of sanding down the white bridge nut doo-hickey. Why is the action on Martin's always so dang high? Glad I watched this. Didn't realise that lowering the nut would reduce resonance
