Martin Guitars really should try and keep this lady working with them , she has sold me at least 5 of these beautiful instruments. I am up to about 200000 bucks so far. Damn she is good and puts it over so well.

I am filling up here! Daft old 40 something bugger, crying real tears over some lady he's never met retiring from showing acoustic guitars. She's made us all smile with her boundless enthusiasm. Captain, I hope you guys at Andertons keep in touch and have her on a show when she's over in the UK. Thanks Diane for EVERYTHING you have done - because anyone can sell a thing. You have educated us and helped us to to Love a guitar, that many will never own, but we kind of feel like we do. Raise a glass to the amazing Diane Ponzio. Cheers!

Diane is not only a walking book of knowledge for The Martin Company she is one hell of a guitarist. It won't be the same without her but you can still catch her in concert and when she says come see me after the show, that's exactly what she means. Toss any question her way about these beautiful Martin guitars and sit back, because you are going to get an in depth response. Thanks for sharing this great video of such a beautiful spirit.

Some lovely guitars but I didn't expect relics from Martin. In my opinion if you want a guitar relic'd get that though playing it, that way you get the stories behind it too, I have an old squier that once flew out the boot of the car, i'm pretty sure it still has gravel squashed into its finish haha!
@KillBill21147 жыл бұрын
Lol - "Danish Pete & Sicilian Dianne" - great segment...she's cool as sht. I love how people get offended from these relic'd offerings. If you're not a fan don't check it out - it's not like they have any shortage of world class guitars. At least their attempt is done with the highest level of quality - same way they do all their stuff. Mine turns 10 this year!

What is this woman on about? John Prine plays several Gibsons, and used to play Guilds there's videos all over. This new guitar is CEO8.2 is Gibson copy "The Martin" indeed!
@RRW2768 жыл бұрын
Donal Callum I don't know why in the world she said that. I can think of one performance/show in particular where Prine used an old Gibson archtop. And same w/ the Guild. I'm sure he's mostly used the same Martin and that guitar the most, but definitely not the only.

@LegsON8 жыл бұрын
Guys, don't you ever buy X serires without looking at it. I foresee stones flying at me, but these guitars are total shit concerning price/quality. 1. Heavy as hell. 2. Quiet. 3. No normal rosewood or ebony - richlight which as said was designed by cooks to cut meat and stuff upon. 4. Even if it costs up to 1000$ there may be no piece of solid wood. 5. Any Ibanez, Epiphone, Cort etc. under 500$ sounds fuller and louder. 6. These are basically not Martins cause they are made by different people and factories than the ones that cost 2000$+.
@hi_fi_lo8 жыл бұрын
Lexonn agree, I jammed in a music store with some friends and their most expensive guitar was a martin X so I took it. It was just not right, uncomfortable, ugly, heavy and quiet. Epiphones were way much better.
@RRW2768 жыл бұрын
Lexonn They are overpriced for what you are getting, especially in materials. However, if we're honest, it's the name you are paying for. They are heavy and fit and unfinish is not that great. Even with a good setup they hard as hell to play. Compare the X series to say a Yamaha. Even the all solid LS16 series sounds better and close to the same price. Having said that, I am curious and want to try the 00.

@SaxophoneHitman0087 жыл бұрын
I don't know....I'm almost embarrassed to be a luthier when I hear ads like this. It just doesn't feel right at all. I say...find yourself a small builder with experience, knowledge, love of wood and tone, and let him/them loose and see what you get. I guaranty there are many, many awesome sounding examples of 000-18, D28 and d45's out there. And these same small Luthiers will work extremely hard to build what you want for a fraction of what Martin is commanding for their instruments. And commanding, [the word], was chosen carefully. Just like every part most fine luthiers put into your personal guitar.
