Weight(size) and efficiency are inversely propotional when it comes to bass bins... and these have complex structure. so lot of wood.

So I didn’t get to see what you guys were using for an amp, or what you guys were using for a crossover or get to see how they were being run. I’m guessing based on what you were saying that you monoblocked a 600 W crown amp? Next time, if you could show us the whole set up, that would be great. It helps us figure out what’s going on and why. Thanks for doing this.

We were running a 600w crown amp in mono mode, so we were getting 200w peak per cabinet, and probably less by the nature of that amp. We've since gotten a Powersoft T602 which is a phenomenal unit and when we get a shot we're going to release an updated video running our full setup.

Each unit is around 200lbs. Not light, but feels somewhat light because of its volume; 2 people carrying it is no problem for the most part. They don't fit in most vehicles though; trucks or trailers of course they fit in but one of our primary vehicles is a Toyota Sienna and they won't fit in that.

Hey there! We strongly recommend the Powersoft T series amps. We recently got a T602, which is 3000 watts peak per channel, which is more than enough for the style of music we will generally be playing through these subs (each sub is 4000w peak, 1000w continuous). The T302 costs a little bit less but gives half the power. Any amp will do though; we recommend those because they protect the subwoofers better than anything in the realm of their price point.

with wsx you really need 6 otherwise you wont get proper low end

Hi there. I think this is super up for debate and subjective, but I totally get what you mean. For most everything that we're doing at the moment and soon, 2 WSXa seems to work fine, and we'd be adding to our inventory for volume and coverage over low end extension in the future. They aren't theater subs that go below audible frequencies or anything, but they certainly get low enough for live music and most EDM. @@gabbajon5654 Sure yea... these things certainly extend down to 35 and do hit below that, but the dropoff is pretty steep because of the nature of a horn. But, the horn exaggerates 35hz the most to my knowledge, so. Also, we do have a digital amp that we use now, and we've put an EQ on the thing that helps bring out some of the weaker frequencies - we'll have a video covering all of that out in a few weeks.

@@preampproductions7177 It's not up for debate it's a fact pal. The more you have the more SPL at lower frequencies you have so with six of them you'd feel more air movement at the lowest of frequencies.

@@djteknovibe93 same with Lab Subs - flat to 30-ish with 6. You can still get quite a lot of bass with less boxes though, or a corner!

Yep, we now use a Powersoft T602 to power them. The little Crown amp was all we had at the time of filming.

You don't seem to understand power, you said you were using them at like 20 watts'ish but no. An amplifier has a set amount of power output and that's it, just because you turn the volume down doesn't mean the subs are getting less power, those knobs you think are volume knobs are NOT volume knobs they're input attenuators.
