Love the video. My wife’s great uncle Eugene McCarty flew 60 missions in a B-26. He started with the 450th BG and ended with the 391st BG where he was mortally wounded as a tail gunner on a mission. He now rests at home in Koppel Pa. Many of our boys gave the ultimate sacrifice and it couldn’t have been done without the B-26 and their relentless bombing missions.

The B-18 won production orders because the first B-17 crashed at the end of service trials due to the flight crew failing to unlock the tail control surfaces.
