Here's the thing -- America has editors not at all unlike this across the nation, working in small and mid-sized newsrooms, uncovering smaller but locally important stories, but no one pays attention. The only reason most people know about this is because of the scope of the scandal and, quite frankly, because of the movie.

@@martyboy5602 True. You want scandal? Look no further than The Boy Scouts of America. Grown men dressing up like little boys and sleeping in tents with them! The Catholic Church is an easy target because they almost never react, they simply settle. Disneyland does the same thing with injury/death lawsuits but they NEVER get questioned.
