mr bob taylor gave his company to his workers,,thats the most humble reason to go for a taylor..recording wise i think they are the best.

I own both Martins and Taylors. In this particular video, I prefer the sound of the Taylor.

The Taylor is great quality built guitar. It sounds happy and chill. The Martin reminds me of someone’s drunk Uncle, passed out in a lawn chair all night long. 😂

Personally I'd give the very slight nod to Martin for tone and projection, but I'd buy the Taylor for the neck and playability.

Right. I’m having neck issues with a new Martin right now. I’ve got a Taylor 517 that hasn’t needed a setup in 3 years.

I have both and even though they sound quite similar in real life (don’t ever make a final judgement from a youtube video) they are very different guitars to play. Martin all the way for bluegrass or heavy playing, Taylor all the way for fingerpicking. Both are great guitars. The D-28 is a cannon for volume. I’m fortunate to own both!

The Taylor is already aged with treated top. So it’s aged already.

Just from your demo, Martin all the way. Taylor sounded "tinny" with no depth. JMHO. Now, I heard a demo of the Taylor 517e Builder's edition and it sounded great!!!!!

There's a reason that when the 717e came out, it won every guitar award in 2019. Fantastic instrument from stem to stern.
