Martin Espino Custom Ancestral Sound Aztec Teponaztli Bamboo Log Drum

I recently purchased this amazing custom Aztec Teponaztli Bamboo Log Drum from Martin Espino at his Etsy shop Ancestral Sound. The tone is amazing. I was looking for a Teponaztli that has the tonal qualities and multi-timbral expressiveness that Martin delivers in this blessed drum.
I'm playing the Teponaztli with custom mallets crafted by Practical Percussion. This is a 100% unpaid endorsement and I did not receive any products or monies to post this. I'm simply amazed at the quality of the instruments. Martin also makes his own custom mallets made specifically for his drums and he creates amazing native flutes as well.

Found something like this in a thrift store. What kind of mallets are those? It didn’t come with any.
