This guitar is a J40M model. The headstock was changed but it is still a beautiful and boomy guitar. This would definitely cut thru any live mix!!!

Mine is a 1992 J40M and I have had it from new. Certainly had my monies worth from it. Used it live and at home. Verstile good for strumming and picking and lead work. Really pleased to hear another as it is the first time I have even seen another one! Thanks.

The J40's are not that common, although I do think they still make them Mine is a monster. Big, bright, clear, and loud. I used it quite extensively on a solo album that I released last summer called Chasing Ghosts in the Dark. you can stream it on Spotify, Pandora, iTunes, Amazon and Bandcamp. You should check it out!

Any Martin's Guitar is my Dream 🙏

Yes I found that out. My M38 is thinner which I actually like. Played by Jorma and Steve Earle and David Bromberg and great for fingerpicking but works well with a flat pick. The J40 is most likely better for flatpicking but hood for fingerpicking. Or maybe it's just louder. lol. Beautiful early nineties martins. Love it.

Looks like my M38... I wonder what the main differences are?
