There has been sequel announcements multiple times, and they never happened. I first heard of a Blue Streak sequel in like 2010. I think what happened was they realized there was money in it after several different countries remade the movie, but for whatever reason the sequels never happened. I have never seen these remakes, but have read about them. One of them in Asia is supposed to be so close of a copy that it is actually called the official remake of Blue Streak. It is juts one of those movies that has a story that could be done in any culture, so it has been copied several times.

@come2theDarkside I hear you on that, but most of the new ideas has been crap as well. I bet people said the same in the 60s and 70s on certain movies that came with the reboot in the 90s and 2000s. I like sometime when they keep the same characters from the first movie than switching up characters and destroying the franchise. Atleast for nostalgic reasons those characters can still make the movie in a way that is ok. Like I said, it probably won't be a Box Office Hit, but it's the fact that he's still doing it for our generation and being brand new for the new generation.

The backstory to "Blue Streak 2"...... The film producers of "Blue Streak" are the same for "Bad Boys" Sony Pictures gave Martin Lawrence an ultimatum he could either film "Bad Boys 2" or "Blue Streak 2" and Martin Lawrence went with "Bad Boys" over "Blue Streak". So had "Blue Streak 2" been made during Martin Lawrence's prime back in the 2000s, there wouldn't been a "Bad Boys 2" or we would just now be getting a "Bad Boys" sequel

That would be a good idea but it's over 30 years late. And I hate to sound like a Debbie Downer but Martin is going down the Chris Tucker route when it comes to sequels. What I mean is that he gonna keep on making sequels from films from over 25 years ago that are great but it's need to be original. Basically he needs to make original films instead of hanging on to his 90s films. You know how people want to see Chris Tucker in Rush Hour and Fridays only but he's more then that. I would love to see Martin and Eddie in a Netflix film about divorce dads but their kids get married to each other. You know something different instead of hanging off of his films in the 90s.

Back in the early 2000s they gave Martin Lawrence the choice to either do a "Blue Streak 2" or "Bad Boys 2", both movies were set to be filmed around the same time. Martin Lawrence went with "Bad Boys" and that became the franchise Sony Pictures focused on & they abandoned a "Blue Streak 2". The "Blue Streak" sequal was sacrificed for a "Bad Boys" franchise

I remember Dave Chappelle saying on “Oprah” that he noticed a dress in his trailer while filming “Blue Streak.” Apparently the producer or whomever had placed it in there, which led to them telling Dave that he’s going undercover as a woman for some scene. Not to throw shade at one of the greatest to ever touch a mic, but I don’t believe that happened. I think Dave just wanted to transition the interview to the “men wearing dresses” stigma. Also, he probably said that for ratings. If celebrities told the truth 24/7, then Oprah would be out of a job. This is why people need to stop worshipping celebrities, and simply take their stories with a grain of salt.
