The Word says that God( the Father) is a Spirit and that no man has see him or can see him( 1John 4:12). No man has ever seen the Holy Spirit either. The only God will ever see is " tabernacled";in the glorfied body of Jesus Christ. So for all intents and purposes Jesus Christ is God.

Jesus( God) always has had a body. Before Bethlehem it was a visible angelic body. Abraham saw Him as He and the two angels were headed for Sodom and Gomorrah. God in His angelic form could make Himself visible to the prophets as He willed.

@kchilz32 you're saying the same thing others say. Which is that the translation is wrong. God made a mistake, and he was weak to where he couldn't get the translators to correct his mistake. If the word onoma is to be translated in Acts 2:38 as " by the authority of," then it means the same thing in Matt 28:19. Which means nothing is said at all, apparently. Just get wet and don't invoke any name for the remission of sins. Saying, "Moe, Larry and Curly" is just as valid as anything else.

@boardbill5852 The early church clearly understood the commandment of Matt 28:19 and obeyed it by speaking or invoking the name of Jesus in water baptism. Peter was asked what we must do to be saved, and Peter commanded that they be baptized in the name of Jesus. Every baptism afterward did likewise and invoked the name of Jesus. If anybody disputes this, then they'll have to prove it from scripture

Roman Catholics in Rome have admitted that they changed Matthew 28vs19 from in the name of Jesus, to the Name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Please be advised that utterance of the name of the Father, which is YHWH is blasphemous under the Law, so if we were to use it as a part of baptism, is also Blasphemous. Also to note, in John 1, John the Baptist said, that He baptises in water, but one who comes after him is greater, He (meaning Jesus) will baptism you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Yes we need to check what is the real teaching of the Apostles after Jesus gave them commands, saying teaching them and observe, but mostly teaching of Christian in modern times, they switched the teaching of Jesus and. The Apostles. That is why many Christian leaders are not noticing that they are not in the right way teaching of the gospel of Jesus. If we read ( John 7:16) Jesus said; My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. And if we notice this verse! Jesus mentioned that his teaching is not him, but the one who send him( Jesus Christ) but Jesus mentioned too in ( John 12:44,45), Jesus said; Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on Him ( which is God The Father) that sent me. And He that sees me seeth Him that sent me. Now the bottom line is Jesus Teaching and preaching is not come from the Son of God, but the Spirit in side of the body of Christ which is the Holy Ghost of ( Deut. 6:4). The New Testament does not record the baptism of the apostles, but it clearly shows that the apostles baptized their converts in Jesus' name. (See Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5, 22:16.) I am Born Again and Holy Ghost filled and Baptized in the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost after coming out of the Roman Catholic church at a very young age and coming out of the Occult in my teens as I was deceived into TM and Soul travel as I became demonized . I know the spirit world and have a marvelous testamony of how I was restored by God . We can take a close look at FAITH and how we can operate by hearing and obeying the voice of God . I have a hard time when people use formulas to define what GOD does with every individual as we see a one on one relationship with God . Faith must placed in the proper object of faith . I don't think many questions we have will be settled until we are with God .

This is good and all but the oneness movement is in error in such a big way, I have come to realize we preach Jesus is the FATHER but that’s not what the Bible teaches! We as oneness must understand the true Word and gospel of the Father and the son! The Father sent his word, the Word has become flesh! Do you understand? Martin Luther staunchly opposed a large religious group called the Anabaptists! Anabaptists we’re well known to convert Catholics by baptizing them in the name of Jesus Christ. Luther went so far as to condone state sanctioned executions, calling the Anabaptists heretics. Martin Luther may have admitted that the apostles baptized in Jesus Name, but he certainly did not condone baptism in Jesus Name.

Interestingly I thought the same thing until I read the the quote in his book prelude on the Babylonian captivity of the church. Where he says “This view I heartily endorse, for there is great comfort and a mighty aid to faith in the knowledge that one has been baptized, not by man, but by the Triune God himself, through a man acting among us in His name.” He then says “Others again, adhering rigidly to their pedantry, condemn the use of the words, “I baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ,”121 although it is certain the apostles used this formula in baptizing, as we read in the Acts of the Apostles [2:38; 10:48; 19:5]; they would allow no other form to be valid than this: “I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.” But their contention is in vain, for they bring no proof, but merely assert their own dreams. Baptism truly saves in whatever way it is administered, if only it is administered not in the name of man, but in the name of the Lord.” So he teacher Jesus name baptism as a formula is fine we just can’t be denying the Biblical Trinity. He also says that in the name of is referring to the doer of the work He says earlier. “This the words themselves indicate, when the priest says: “I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen,” and not: “I baptize you in my own name.” It is as though he said: “What I do, I do not by my own authority, but in the name and stead of God, so that you should regard it just as if our Lord himself had done it in a visible manner. The Doer and the minister are different persons, but the work of both is the same work, or rather, it is the work of the Doer alone, through my ministry.” For I hold that “in the name of” refers to the person of the Doer, so that the name of the Lord is not only to be uttered and invoked while the work is being done; but the work itself is to be done as something not one’s own-in the name and stead of Another.” So Luther’s view here is the formula can be In Jesus Name we just can’t deny the trinity and the concept of in the name of is referring more to the doer of the action rather than saying Jesus is the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost.

I learn more and more about people who God has shown baptism is Jesus name and still believe in a trinity, but want to obey the bible in baptism.
