William, great point of fact, Luther did not have a problem with Purgatory to begin with. Many Protestants are unaware of this. Thank you men. God bless

At first he didn’t have a problem with purgatory but then he denied its existence like his entire corpus he flipped flopped no theological grounding to the man at least Calvin had some stability to his heresy with Luther you have to check the time frame one day Immaculate Conception is ok next day no it’s not ok. Rosary ok next day not ok. Purgatory ok not ok. Confession ok next day not ok. On and on

Really do need videos for the rest of the Deuteros similar to what David did with Baruch! Please seriously consider! Response and rebuttal videos vs popular Protestant videos are always naturally interesting and engaging.

Hello, my friends! My question is not related to this topic. When I was an atheist one of the most interesting things that I'd seen was the Deaniel's Prophecy, and it contributed a little bit to my conversion (I'm a Catholic now). Are there academic work preseting evidence to those prophecies. I see that skeptics like to say that they were written after the facts. Do know any good paper, article, or study showing the evidences?

Great video! Though some of the earlier Luther quotes in the video could have benefited from some specific citation. I've learned to be extra-cautious with Luther quotes after discovering some are fake or not well-founded. In this case, the very title "Disavowal" makes it clear that Luther flip-flopped.

Why does nobody talk about how Luther advised a prince to take a second wife and then said he would lie about when questioned?

Can you guys do something on how some of the catholic church fathers seem to reject those books as canonical such as St Gregory the Great & Hugh of St Victor etc.
@AveChristusRex7896 ай бұрын
Saints can be wrong on things. Ever since the 4th Century with the council of Rome, the Church has affirmed the 73 book canon and that is all that matters.

Gary did a video on st. Pope Gregory the Great. Check out "Did a pope reject the Apocrypha?"
@caseycardenas16686 ай бұрын
@@MrDLiver Many great doctors and theologians of the Church wrestled with these books for over a millennium, Luther was not unique in that. Cajetan and Erasmus are two prime examples and in all fairness it was permitted within the Catholic framework to do such, at least before Trent.
@davidszaraz46056 ай бұрын
@@caseycardenas1668 Erasmus certainly accepted the deuterocanon and Cajetan rejected some NT books, however originally he accepted the deuterocanon. So what?

@@davidszaraz4605 Erasmus and Cajetan both excluded the apocrypha from inspired canon but referenced them as teaching tools for edification.
