Something new has been on my looped playlist eversince I heard it. Now I'm learning to play Web of Lies on the drums because it is the only song that I think I can play on the drums with my skills. 😂 PS. Something New is now my years' official anthem as it is what I've ever wanted for my 2023; leaving all the unpleasant experiences from the past year. Thanks a lot Martin and to your Session band.❤❤❤

Finally! An album of songs written and produced not only with technicality but with heart and top tier quality, passionately. You've introduced a lot of 80's songs from great bands in their time with your medleys which I always listen to, from time to time. It's great that you already have your own songs in which I can tell has been greatly influenced by these bands. I'm from the Philippines and one day, I would like to go to your country and see you perform your great works of art as it is one of my dreams to see you perform. Works like yours are scarce in todays time which should have recognition and appreciation.

This is an amazing, well-produced and magnifically played album. At first, I criticized the fact that it only has 5 songs, but after watching this video I take that back. Every song is a masterpiece in its own, interestingly layered and put in a way that tells you more than one story at a time. Congrats Martin! Now I'm really looking forward to seeing you play that long-awaited Dream Theater Medley with your band 😛

This is for me, one of the best piece of music I've heard since, I don't know, 20 years? This album is incredible in case of music, melody, arrangement. It sounds incredible good. And one more thing... Sebastian on drums...he deserve it for such a great album. He is so incredible talented drummer. What he did on this record is mindblowing... Great job Martin, oh and 9:40 is so so true. Thank You.

After buying this album and listened couple of times ,i got to say that i have a couple of favorites. Web of lies brings me some real 80s Van Halen vibes with those keyboard tones and chords ,love it .Left Inside reminds me a bit of Muse strangely enough, at least in some places ,and it has some interesting chord changes. Compass brings instantly into Dream Theater images and words Era ,so 90s.. and i think the influence is clear on this one ,and i like that!. And of course Something New...that is my favorite on the album, from the first time that i listened to this song , it was stuck in my head! So damn catchy. The riffs are great ,gives that 80s nostalgic vibes ,and the Guitar solo is a Martin Miller essential phrasing! Clean as hell ,fast but melodic at the same time! . Im loving the album so far ,and always finding new stuff by listen to it . Great Job Martin!

While I still remember being very impressed by "Wischis Shredparade" ;-), this album hits me on a very different level. Of course, the playing is brilliant, but there´s an attention to detail and a love for the art, which clearly can be heard as well as felt and which makes this album a really special one. Congrats to Martin and every one involved in creating this masterpiece.

Wonderful album Martin! Your cover set last time in Tivoli was amazing, with do much craft, talent, and pure energy. Loved every second (Depeche Mode!!!). Still, your new songs are in a different league for me. I don't know how they would "work" on stage, but I'd love to see you give it a go. Deal? PS Felix is a contained nuke. I really enjoy all songs, I listen to the complete album frequently, but if I had to choose one among all of them, it would be fragments, have an special vibe, the progression is perfect. What's for me each song in the album in one word: Something new: the catchy Fragments: the soul Left inside: the heavy Web of lies: the experimental Compass: the complete I really like this 90's Dream Theater sound that you have mixed with other styles and modern arrangements, I missed this kind of music for a long time, keep it up, keep doing it your way. You can be more than proud of this album

Oh man I can’t believe it! I’m so happy you were inspired by Tony Banks of the original Genesis! I love their early stuff best. I’m very happy you love them too and use the band’s influence in your song. How did you discover early Genesis? I’m pretty old way older than you, and that music is from my generation. And yeah, I hear Mega “Toto, too”( lol wizard of Oz). how gorgeous of you to show us how you create your music. I appreciate the way you demonstrated the production aspect -listening to how all the parts inside a song just come together and a beautiful song is created. When I was in college I aspired to be a sound engineer. I love your music. Thank you. xx ❤🎶🎸🎧

Well, Iove the album very much. In fact, I found more DreamTheater I liked in past (thinking about Metropolis PT2) there. Not a kind "art of", but it feels very like "yeah, finally Im home again", you nkow? Awesome sound design, brilliant fine and small things you discover more and more depending how much concentration you invest at hearing- thats amazing. More over, its not about "guys, I can play that fast" or "I can mix this amount of physical tracks" or even "I can penetrate time signatures"....I would say your album is something for every one, from neards to casual listening. Great job, man. Beste Grüße aus dem Norden ;-)

Giving Geoff Tate a run for his money! This whole vibe is like this cool, complex blend of Queensryche, Dream Theatre, some Dragon Force, all wrapped up in a contemporary package; Ear Candy as you mentioned. The amount of effort that went into this is obvious. Each of your songs that I have listened to (5 on KZbin) are "audio fine dining." Something New is my favorite so far. Watching your KZbin channel, I knew you could sing. But, I haven't heard you belt it out like you did on Something New...good grief! What an accomplishment dude! You must feel some level of sadness that the project is finally completed...especially one with such a deep journey. Not to say that wouldn't fade quickly...you know what I mean. :) On a side note, your solo on Superstitious was so masterful that you almost outshined Paul. It would be sacrilegious for me to say anything else. Congrats on the release!

Really loved the whole record, very fresh sounding to my layman ears; yet familiar bits of stuff that I liked growing up e.g. DT, Toto, VH, even has vibes of Frost :) Didn't expect Slipknot too..to top it off you even got the drummer from Obscura-Obsidious! Also the bassist lol just watched the video clip of Something, initially thought it was Ben on wig but turns out it's another guy from Obscura/Obsidious..Linus 🤣

I don't know if this is relevant to this great video but I've always wanted to tell you this, Martin. I hope to see you write music for video games and Japanese anime one day . I don't know what it is but you have it. For some reason when I heard the melody at 19:17, I pictured Sonic and Tails in a marble garden sprinting and collecting rings. Martin, don't get me wrong, I really miss those old spacious types of mixes, as seen on e.g. King Crimson Epitaph and many other older recordings... For some reason in recently issued music I find it all being just a "wall of sound" throughout the song with no change, which may work, but where the "artificial space" aspect has gone? Is it just unpopular those days? Can it also be made working for this contemporary type of music? This could be another layer of dynamics enhancing interestingness of the final recording.
