From Aussie: Ange was answering a question on his history when he wins trophies, he was just been truthful, as he said if I don’t win anything this year in the future I win mostly in my second year. Ange fully explained why he had to make 8 changes, Simon you should listen to what people say instead of putting your spin on it.

Tottenham season ticket holder here. I rarely hear negativity towards Ange inside the stadium. It seems that the majority of the noise is coming from social media or the press wanting to make a mountain out of a molehill. Also, Jim White at the start of this clip saying “Solanke opened his account at last” - That was his third league start for the club. Ridiculous comment

Ange has always had a massive chip on his shoulder which is why he has been so successful. In Australia he is viewed by the establishment as a wog (that's what the Ango-Saxon Australians called immigrants from Greece, Italy etc. and they used to call football, 'wogball') & in Europe (where, he was born), the home of football, he is seen as an Aussie kangaroo by the media, football fans and establishment. His combative style will never go away, it's what has made him.

Ange’s point is one of fact; he wins things in his second year and he can say that until he doesn’t. He is leading a club by giving Spurs a culture of winning as a means to an end. Play well, you’ll win. He says it constantly, win the next touch, the next, play, the next duel, always what’s next. That is what makes him different.

Contrary to the belief of many non Nottingham Forest fans, Johnson was hardly a massive success with Forest in the PL.mHe went missing in most games and was skulking around the pitch. But because he would get the odd great goal, he showed up in highlights and everyone but Forest fans thoight he was amazing. Then he was sold for a big fee and Forest did very well. Believe me, Morgan Gibbs-White is exactly the same.

I love Martin O’Neill, I’d love to sit down and have dinner with big Ange and Martin. Again talkSPORT take the comment from Ange “I win things in my second year” literally. They didn’t mention it was a response to a question from the media, nor did they mention the disclaimer from Ange where he says it is a fact but not a guarantee. He then goes onto to say if I don’t win something this season then I can no longer say that. Simon says media has made football what it is today and are entitled to ask these stupid questions which players and managers should answer. That was okay when the media were professional but now the media is full of self entitled idiots on social media platforms who simply want a reaction so they can generate clicks to create revenue, this video being an example. Heaven forbid the media actually reports the facts and the full conversation.

The big thing Postecoglou is doing is bringing pressure to his door and off his players. He is mature enough to know that the younger players may not be able to handle some of the media spotlight so he puts his own neck out there instead. It's a tactic to stop you blokes talking about Solanke and Johnson to let them play themselves back into form. You guys aren't used to it becuase prem managers tend to be selfish and want to protect themselves and throw their players under the bus to save themselves. This happens in the NRL in Australia all the time because the coaches jobs are more secure. Wayne Bennett is known for this sort of thing, "hates" the media but constantly makes the story him vs something rather than his teams underperformance or a players skill etc.

Ange is trying to change the mentality about winning something because they don't have a winning mentality. If you play down expectations they will continue to NOT win anything. It's all psychological. Some clubs know they will win, some clubs like Tottenham hope they can win, but deep down do they believe it? Ange believes, but do the rest?

I wonder why fellers lambast ange for no reason at all, This is his second season and fellers are like he has been at spurs for 6 years and didn’t improved spurs and won anything. Spurs have improved and he is still inculcating his game pans , strategies and ideas to his players and only time will tell...Spurs were very poor and playing a fossil ball when he was appointed and for now spurs got a game plan, a system of play and the cohesion is gradually improving

There is two types of Media in football. True Media and Media based on blowing things out of proportion to get views and make videos. Talk Sport is the Media that enjoys making a big deal out of something trivial. They care more about views and clicks then actually talking sense and logic. This style of Media cares more about its own brand then the football.

Watching this as an Aussie is hilarious. The references to people of our kind as "Antipodean" has been in use regularly this week in reference to big Ange, when in the UK you've got 4 different nationalities, a north/south divide and a social class divide on top of that, with a league full of players and coaches who don't speak English. BTW it was good to see Chris Wood, one of our antipodean cousins scoring again this week 😜. I know Ange is of Greek extraction, but there are millions of people in Australia who are more British than half of the people living in the UK these days, and who could be descended from or be related to people like Lord Nelson, Princess Diana and Winston Churchill. It comes off as a bit of a stereotype - we are all individuals and there is only one Ange. Even if you guys want to drop him after a few average games, he'll always have a few million people supporting him at any one time through the thick and the thin. I watch all the Spurs games, even if they're at 3am here, and I am a Gunners supporter of 30+ years. You need some characters in this sport and people with conviction in new ideas who can test the boundaries. Don't forget Ferguson and Wenger received similar treatment when they entered the league.

IMO, Ange wasn't saying he would win something in his second season with Tottenham... The retort was aimed at the commentator who was trying to trip him up when she reported as him claiming that he's said he 'USUALLY' wins something in his second season; his response was aimed at her lack of accuracy... He was saying more to the point: 'if you're going to be sly and try and trip me up, at least do you're job correctly and get it right...I said I ALWAYS win something in my second season'.
