Hello Margaret ,sadly is true ,they have lost their habitat ,many gardens have no plants , grass or trees , just paving stones , but there are wildlife lovers like me who feeds the Birds , Sparrows everyday and our gardens are wildlife friendly, in my garden there are about 25 Sparrows living here day and night in a Jasmine and Honeysuckle bush , you have a wonderful day .
@vonnieskitchenmartinsshack55443 жыл бұрын
Margaret and angel wings, here too, farmers have cut down the hedgerows or fencelines we call it. Their machinery is so big they need bigger fields. We usually gather together dead branches and such and make a pile. One is near a feeder. Birds sleep in them and hide from hawks. Last year Mart made it too big and there must have been a hundred sparrows in there!!!!
@TheNorthwoodsman13 жыл бұрын
They were introduced over here but we do not have near the numbers as when they first populated.

Hey Martin! I absolutely love your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your time and memories up at the cabin. I can not tell you enough how I appreciate them! Your videos are exactly what I want for retirement.the history of your cabin and times there deserve to be continued long after someone else calls the cabin “home”. I can only hope that whom ever has the cabin in the future maintains the bench at Hawk’s Pond, keeps the coffee cups up on the wall for those who have passed, puts a rustic wood sign up That says “Martin’s Cabin” and keeps the video coming ! What you have created is so special ! Something called memories that need to be shared to keep them going. Your times up at the cabin are all about friendships n nature,can’t ask for More than that ❤️ One thing I think would be really cool would be if you had the recipe for Vonnie’s world famous cherry pies to be scribed into a wooden plaque to share for all in the future at the cabin. Thank you for all the good times and memories you share with us all !!!
