Martin is one of the greatest exports from my city, Hamilton, Ontario Canada. Even though he's lived in California for over 30 years, he still comes "home" all the time to visit his family and support so many local causes. He's never forgotten where he comes from and what made him. He's one of the good ones!

Our band played at Andrea Martin's wedding in So Portland in the early eighties and this little dude (Martin Short) gets up on stage and asks us to a play a standard blues shuffle as he sang an impromptu song about Andrea and their group of friends. We didn't know who he was, but he was amazingly talented and funny.
