Martin St. Louis scores at the beginning of the second overtime period to force game 7 back home. Some inspiration for the boys tonight.

Classy move by the Flames fans to applaud their team after the goal, knowing it was the last time they'd see them on home ice that year. And I think even the diehards had it in the back of their minds at that moment that they wouldn't see them again for over a year, the lockout clouds were that dark.

South Florida doesn't care about sports? What world do you live in? You do know that Tampa Bay Lightning game attendance ranks 10th in the whole NHL right? That's Awesome! You sir live under a rock.
@normw74439 жыл бұрын
Obviously you know nothing about hockey in Florida. First, Tampa isn't in South Florida. You have them confused with the other Florida team (the one Roberto Luongo plays for). Second, I live in Canada but I was at a game in Tampa last Saturday night when they kicked the Ottawa Senators asses 4-1. I'd say over 90% of the seats were full and, unlike Toronto and most Canadian cities, the lower priced tickets are affordable to average Joes. Third, check the NHL standings. The Lightning are in first place in their division (3 points ahead of the Habs and about 10 ahead of the Leafs), and they are tied with Anaheim for first place overall in the NHL

During the turnover, isn't that a trip when an opposing player impedes with a player's ability to skate by clipping them below the knees? That should be a 2:00 minor as soon as Tampa touched the puck. Considering this was the same game where the puck was in the net for Calgary, I'm really starting to question the legitimacy of this victory. EDIT FOR GRAMMAR ERROR

I have to disagree as well on Tampa Bay's potential for relocation. True, the "Southern Experiment", as a whole, isn't working out well. But some spots (Dallas, Tampa, San Jose), for the most part, have done well. If you're looking for a FL team to relocate, I'd put my money on the Panthers. I'm somewhat baffled why they're doing poorly in Sunrise while Tampa Bay has seemingly developed a solid, and still growing, market for the game of hockey.

As a Canadian, the drought has been since 1993 since a Canadian franchise team has won the CUP. I wanted Calgary to win, however, it was just dumb luck there was no review on the possible goal in the 3nd period. I think if that same game was played today, with better technology, there would have been a different result.

Vancouver lost in 1994 and 2011. Calgary lost in 2004. Edmonton lost in 2006. Ottawa lost in 2007. Aside from 2007, every finals went to Game 7. Canada is cursed. Being from Seattle, I support the US National team, but also the Canucks. It's truly heartbreaking.

technically, its controversial your bolts are the rightful champions... it was the NHLs fault that they didn't have cameras set up in the goal or at the goal line like they do today. I'm about to say something that will put you and your provoked parallax view beliefs to permanent sleep. LISTEN CAREFULLY NHL HAS HAD 9 SEPERATE NHL GOAL LINES REVIEWS THAT INVOLVED A FRONT SIMILAR VIEW AND HERES THE CASE OF THE MOST RECENT ONE, in 2016 Round 2 Game 1 Washingon Capitals vs, Pittsburg Penguins an OT goal scored by TJ Oshie at the explicit immediate same view and same style was scored at the goal line on Murray, the take by the NHL review committee was whether or not there was white space between the puck and the goal line on which it was confirmed there was. TJ Oshie's OT game deciding goal was reviewed and counted as Capitals had won the game on a game explicitly similar to the one scored by Gelinas. Conclusion to my argument is: ACCEPT THE FACE THE NHL DIDN'T WANT A CANADIAN CUP CHAMPION AND TO SPREAD THE SPORT WANTED A TB WIN TO SPREAD AN OVERMARKET IN THE SOUTHERN AND DESERT STATES FURTHERING THE EXPOSURE OF THE SPORTS. Now I'll wait to hear you say that that WAS YES A GOAL The Calgary Flames had won the 2004 Stanley Cup...
