Martina's confidence coming i to the FO was soooo high, if she won that it would be SKY high. She would felt like she can't lose. In that final of US Open it was visable that she had doubts in her game especislly when Serena choked in the 2.set, Martina couldnt take advantage of that because she still did not totaly overcamed that loss in Paris. Talking about Serena she was a bit lucky at that tournament. 16-year old Clijsters almost took her out in the 3.round. She did not had experience to close the match.

@@zoppkv2060 I agree she was very good even in 98, but in 99 even more as well as in 2000..she wasn't lucky enough for more GS titles and it was very tough era
