My daughter recently lost her 7 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. 39 years old with two children, 7 and 10 yrs old. This was her favorite Martina McBride song.

Bless you for your song. It was played in our relay for life. Me ( a survivor) and hubby carried the banner to your song. Half way through it I broke down. At the end of the relay a group of us just sat in a group huddle and cried.

When my dad got sick he fought so hard to stay here for his family and I did everything I could for him and I know it’s been a couple of years since I lost him but it still hurts so much deep inside I’m still grieving but hearing Martina McBride sing this song just heals my soul

The song was written by Sonya Isaacs from The Isaacs singing group along with her husband John Yeery. It was about Sonyas mother who had breast cancer back in the 80's and she lost both breasts. Her name is Lily and still alive and well. This version is good but the original by The Isaacs is superb.
