Mate, you literally solved my problem by fixing the flow-meter. I disassembled/cleaned nearly every part after the Delonghi started the grinding process but stopped immediately when the flow started. I nearly dumped the Delonghi but saw this video and thought this might be the problem. Thanks for this video:-)

This video is amazing! You literally just saved me 1000s of $$$. I have the same machine with the exact same flow meter problem that developed some time ago. I couldn’t find how to fix it and was beginning to save up $$$ for a new machine. Before watching your video I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a flow meter. When I opened up the machine, I actually saw that part but I always thought it was some sort of pump. Thank you big time!

This is the problem exactly my machine has. I’m going to forward this video to my husband to fix my machine 😅Thank you for saving us from a trip to Pa from Va and $$$

Hi, can you send a link where to get the parts? I have a new couple but I can't find the rings and spacer. Thanks! you are great!

Figured it would be gaskets that leak … thank you for your thorough video! I don’t have the flow sensor issue yet (same exact machine) but glad I learned how to eventually fix that one too!

Great video! Those hair pin clips of the right size are impossible to get. I had one of the bigger ones that was damaged - one leg was missing. I got the right size BUT the clip wire was too big. I finally was able to file it down. Finding the right size o rings is a headache as well.

Awesome video, having the same issues -- your video is very easy to follow.

What size are the o rings? If you know the size it is much cheaper to buy a bagful.

Check the ends of all hoses for damage and sharp edges. If you find any use heat to remove the edge. If that is impossible, assemble to the hose first then fit into the joint. When assembling O-rings, make sure that they are coated with a food grade assembly lubricant.

hi Martin - can you please provide some detail as to how to remove and replace the door assembly?

My delonghi ec820b is leaking from bottom and lost steam pressure. When i open it though everything looks fine and no leaks. The water from bottom seems to be some overflow pipe. Could the issue be restricted flow causing backpressure activating overflow valve?

Thank you! Can you tell me the part number for o-rings/gaskets?

sorry, don't have a part number. Just take your old ones to a hardware store and get the right size for your machine.

Hi - I replaced my pump on the Delonghi Magnifica because it was not delivering water anywhere - the steamer now works but the coffee part is not delivering any liquid - any suggestions ? - There are no leaks . I’m an amateur but I’m willing to try ! If so do you know where I can get the parts and directions to repair myself? Thank you

My Cafe Corso runs the water through the steam wand instead of going to make the coffee. Any ideas as to where I should look?

Hi Martin, I have the same Machine as your video It’s leaking water underneath and the “empty trash container” light is on (it turn on during a descaling cycle, and it did not turn off since) Do you know what to do? The first part of the video with replacing the gaskets and the small U-shaped wire, it seems very difficult for me. I am a girl so all the components to put them back, seems difficult, I don’t know if I can do it? but I know for sure I cannot afford a new expresso and I do need it in morning. I could do you watch, is the second part opening in the back end cleaning up the wrong part four the car car with a small drill (1.2) that I can do… any suggestions??? Again 1. second light is on it came on during a descaling process (and honestly the descaling light was on for a very long time and I did not descale in time 2. Water is leaking under my coffee maker on my countertop.

Hi Martin, thanks for the video. Where did you buy the O rings/gaskets? I have a leak on the plastic piece going into heating element, on the heating element side. Plastic piece about 25:09 on your video.
@MartinKnauber3 жыл бұрын
I checked at 25:09, but there is no plastic piece at that time marker. But in any case you would just have to replace the gasket or both of them if there are two going into the heating element.

Hi Mate, what size are those O-Rings, great video btw
@MartinKnauber3 жыл бұрын
on my machine I have two different sizes, 4mm and 5mm inner diameter. But of course the ones on your machine might be different. I just took my old ones to a hardware store and went through their O-rings until I found the right size.
@marcelvandenbosch36563 жыл бұрын
@@MartinKnauber Thanks Martin, super helpful video. I had no idea about the evolving flow meter problem and just drilled mine out too. The machine started leaking fresh water like a sieve. I hope this will stop the issue. I hear steam coming out of the top pipe connections, gotta replace the gaskets too. As you said, I hope I will find them at the hardware store.
@XwpisONOMA2 жыл бұрын
Go to DeLonghi's website (or just call their customer service line) and find the closest service center to you. They will give you the exact replacement part. Price will be a little more expensive than going to your hardware store but you will get the correct part. Also, note if the o-ring is black or red. Do not replace a red one with a generic black one. Red means they are specially made so to withstand the higher temperatures.

Literally hundreds of videos trying to mend/repair/refurbish/improve a crappy Italian/Chinese product. I have to recognize that Italians have excellent marketing skills since they managed to sell so many knock-offs
@monicapop303 Жыл бұрын
They brake b/c of usage! And I personally am Grateful for Chinese manufacturers b/c we can Afford them.. if you don’t like that but made in countries u want - but be happy w that price .. and be logical about price difference when u all complain about made in China and on that note.. China makes all qualities!!!! It is the American buyers / importers that buy the lesser quality… Product… and we are grateful for these videos to know how to maintain
